My mother in law opened her Christmas gift a little early so I can set it up for her. She lives in rural GA, no cable, no fiber, one bar of cell service if you’re lucky. But, I saw that starlink has $80/month internet, available at her address, which is only $17/month more than she’s paying for 3mbps AT&T DSL internet from before I was born. It was our Christmas gift to her, Wish me luck setting it up 🙂

Since this random post about internet has a million views, let me say, before Starlink my mother in law was paying $63 a month for AT&T dsl internet, getting 2.49 mbps according to this speed test 👇 Since getting her starlink for Christmas, which is $80/month, no upfront cost, she’s getting 141 mbps 56 times faster for $17 more, worth it, most importantly, she’s happy - Merry Christmas 🎄 thank you Elon Musk

Started off my Friday in a not so great way, taking my wife’s car in for a probably expensive car repair. But, I did something I never would have done in the past, because I couldn’t when I was getting an error on my scale & needed a seatbelt extender, I walked home! I know it’s not the Olympics or a marathon, but it was a pretty good start to my day (well it partly offset leaving the car at the shop haha) 🙏

Robot Dave heart update 🤖 Did an EKG & stress test today, throughout the stress test they saw 2 extra/early heartbeats (PVC) in a ten minute test, this is considered infrequent/very infrequent. Which is good, and I don’t feel them and have no symptoms. I’ll still have a follow up with my cardiologist, to be sure the EKG & week long sensor wearing didn’t show anything else, but with no symptoms, no family history, and 2 per 10 minutes in a stress test, it was luck that my regular doctor saw one on a 60 second EEG in December (a good thing though) I’ll let y’all know what else the cardiologist says in a couple weeks 🙏
