The response to our recent Cavorite X7-Helicopter cost analysis has been very positive. Social media posts discussing operating economics of the Cavorite X7 with conventional helicopters, and highlighting the potential for up to 75% lower cost per available seat mile, are now at almost half a million views! Clearly, there’s strong interest in the real economics behind next-generation aircraft - so we made a video explaining the analysis further.

As we continue to progress toward the full-scale Cavorite X7, it’s a good moment to revisit how it works and why it matters. Vertical takeoff. Airplane speed. Runway optional. The Cavorite X7 lifts like a helicopter using electric fans, then transitions to forward flight powered by a turbine engine flying up to twice as fast as a helicopter and reaching up to 800 km. For time-critical missions like medevac, search and rescue, and urgent cargo, that combination of speed and flexibility is key. And when it’s time to land, it can touch down in spaces as small as a tennis court or operate from a runway like a conventional aircraft. Simple!

A major advantage of the Cavorite X7 over fully electric aircraft is simple: it doesn’t need to stop and charge on the ground. Hear from Phil, Brian and Jason on how the aircraft “generates over 100 horsepower of electricity in flight,” allowing the batteries to recharge while flying, enabling multiple missions back-to-back with minimal downtime.

What really drives innovation in defense aviation? Experience! In this clip from a recent Stocktwits interview, CEO Brandon Robinson, a former Royal Canadian Air Force fighter pilot, talks about missions like extracting downed pilots behind enemy lines, and how they exposed major gaps in current aircraft: high costs, complexity, and limited flexibility. Those experiences helped shape the thinking behind the Cavorite X7, built for efficiency, reliability, and the ability to operate without traditional runways. With new defense strategies unlocking non-dilutive funding, Horizon Aircraft is well positioned at the intersection of innovation and opportunity.

This isn’t just a new aircraft, it’s a disruptive shift in how point-to-point air travel gets done. In this clip from a recent Stocktwits interview, CEO Brandon Robinson highlights why the Cavorite X7 could be a game changer for missions traditionally handled by helicopters. Today, about half of the global helicopter fleet is used for point-to-point transport, but comes with trade-offs in speed, cost, and weather limitations. For operators, and investors, that combination points to a clear opportunity to disrupt a massive, established market.

A key year ahead for Horizon Aircraft! Over the next 12-18 months, we expect to roll out the full scale Cavorite X7. This marks a major shift in focus, as we move toward delivering a full-scale aircraft built on years of engineering. As certified aircraft prepare to enter service across the industry, advanced air mobility is moving from concept to reality. Horizon’s progress reflects that broader momentum, alongside continued team growth and programme advancement. We couldn't be more excited for 2026.
