As we continue to progress toward the full-scale Cavorite X7, it’s a good moment to revisit how it works and why it matters. Vertical takeoff. Airplane speed. Runway optional. The Cavorite X7 lifts like a helicopter using electric fans, then transitions to forward flight powered by a turbine engine flying up to twice as fast as a helicopter and reaching up to 800 km. For time-critical missions like medevac, search and rescue, and urgent cargo, that combination of speed and flexibility is key. And when it’s time to land, it can touch down in spaces as small as a tennis court or operate from a runway like a conventional aircraft. Simple!
