Foreign tourists landed in Srinagar, being told by the Kangle that this is India, but when they stepped into Kashmir they realised that this place is completely different! The truth is that Kashmiri Muslims were not the ones who drove the Pandits out it was the Indian state machinery, pushed forward under Jagmohan, that engineered it. While the propaganda keeps painting Muslims as the villains, it was actually Muslims who were killed in far greater numbers than the Pandits at that time by terrorists. Ever since, the scale of violence unleashed by the Indian state on Kashmiri Muslims has been incomparable, yet many Kashmiri Pandits continue defending those actions instead of acknowledging the reality.
