When the lights go down, I think about the people who made what's on that screen: the grips, the crews, the caterers, the set builders. I created the first tax credit in Sacramento, and I helped expand it as Mayor. We appointed a Film Czar to help filmmakers avoid bureaucracy. Cut filming fees at Griffith Observatory cut by 70%. Reopened the Central Library to production after more than a decade. Issued Executive Directives to cut the red tape that was pushing shoots out of LA. Whatever it takes to protect film jobs in Los Angeles, I'll do it. Alongside the unions and the working people who built this industry.

Los Angeles is home to the largest Salvadoran community of any city in the country. They're part of the fabric of who we are. Ending TPS puts thousands of Salvadoran families at risk. Congress must act now.

More than 42,000 affordable housing units are being fast-tracked. There is still more work to do to make L.A. safer, more affordable, and a city that works for everyone.
