Does he (President al-Sharaa) weed out the jihadists in his own military? Does he work with me to achieve a demilitarized zone in southwest Syria that borders the Golan Heights? I want an arrangement that both demilitarizes southwest Syria and provides permanent protection for the Druze minority in Syria. If we achieve that, we can move forward.
