![A 30-year-old Dalit cab driver, Ankit Kumar, has alleged that Rapido suspended his account for “99 years and 11 months” after he asked four passengers to leave his vehicle over alleged casteist remarks in Lucknow. Kumar said the passengers repeatedly used caste-based slʉrs and that the suspension has affected his livelihood. Rapido’s response was not immediately available. Caste Slur Row 👉🏽 Kumar, a mechanical engineering diploma holder, said he repeatedly asked the passengers to stop making derogatory comments before stopping near Telibagh market and asking them to leave. A video of the confrontation later surfaced online, after which he said he received abusive and threⱥtening messages. Livelihood Affected 👉🏽 Kumar alleged that Rapido suspended his account after the passengers complained without seeking his version.
