Rather than provincial governments spending around Rs 1000 bn on school education, enrolling only a quarter of our kids, and failing the average child in both math & science, I suggest we give the same amount (Rs 3000) per child per month to the family to educate their own kids.

پچھلے ہی ہفتے عزت ماب وزیراعظم صاحب نے یہ فرمایا تھا کہ پٹرول اور ڈیزل کی قیمتوں کا اضافی بوجھ عوام پہ نہیں ڈالا جائے گا بلکہ حکومت خود ہی یہ بوجھ برداشت کرے گی- مگر ایک ہی ہفتے میں فیصلہ بدل دیا گیا-کیا وزرائے کرام نے پوچھا بھی ہے وزیر اعظم سے کہ یہ بوجھ لوگوں پہ ڈال دیا جائے یا بغیر ان کی اجازت کے ڈال دیا گیا؟ وزیراعظم صاحب تو حکومت کے اس فیصلے سے بہت دکھی ہوں گے!!

سالوں سے ہم 20 روپے فی یونٹ زیادہ دے رہے ہیں بجلی کے بلوں میں کیونکہ کہا گیا ہے کہ ہم نے ضرورت سے بہت زیادہ بجلی گھر لگا دیے ہیں- اب جب بجلی کی ضرورت پڑ رہی ہے تو پھر یہ اٹھ اٹھ گھنٹے لوڈ شیڈنگ کیوں ہو رہی ہے؟ حکومت نے ہم سے یہ بھی کہا کہ قطر سے جو گیس خریدی گئی ہے وہ بہت زیادہ ہے جس کی وجہ سے ہمیں پاکستانی گیس کو روکنا پڑا ہے۔ اب جب کہ قطر سے گیس نہیں ارہی تو پاکستانی گیس کو ہم استعمال میں کیوں نہیں لا کر پنجاب میں پچھلی گھر چلا رہے ہیں؟ لوڈ شیڈنگ کی اصل وجہ حکومت کی نالائقی اور پالیسی میں سکم ہے

Before the war in Iran, crude oil index (say Arab Light) moved in tandem with Platt’s Diesel index. Pakistan priced diesel according to imported Platt’s prices and refineries in Pakistan who imported crude oil and refined the product here made normal profits. Since the war began the gap or refining margin or crack spread between crude oil and refined diesel has increased exponentially and refineries are making enormous profits. That’s why the formula needs to change now. And this formula, which was adopted in 2019 by PTI govt, was fine before the war. I don’t know why the govt has been so extra kind to refineries for the last month and has bestowed on them over Rs 75 bn. But this madness has to stop now.

It is wrong for PMLN supporters to say that Imran Khan is an Israeli agent just as it was wrong for PTI supporters to say that Main Nawaz Sharif was a Modi ka yaar. Both claims are absolutely false. Let’s stop politics that baselessly questions the patriotism of our opponents.
