Cool Astronaut tradition taking place: Commander Reid Wiseman just called down to Mission Control to request that the crew of the ISS remove Jeremy Hansen's name from the LUFA (League of Unflown Astronauts) patch in the U.S. Lab. Artemis II is Hansen's first time in space.

NASA kept the American flag meant to be planted on the Moon with the Apollo 18 mission, before the program was cancelled. It turns out the Artemis II had that same flag on board this entire time, as they flew around the Moon, kicking off humanity's return to the Moon. 🇺🇸

I spent 6 hours at Tesla Boston and spoke to well over 50 people. Most had never even heard of Optimus before, their minds were completely blown. Great work by Tesla getting Optimus in front of visitors from all over the world who are here for the Boston Marathon.

Breadcrumbs of Banish appear to be in the latest Actually Smart Summon release. My Model 3 parked itself on ASS (FSD v14.3.2) after I blocked the road and used hand signals to direct it into a parking spot (target was on opposite side of the building). I've never seen it do this before. It didn't just pull in across the lines, it parked near-perfectly like it does on FSD. Worked with my Model 3 and TeslaFSD - Dave's Model Y on first attempt. Of course when I brought out the camera it took like 7 tries, but it eventually did it again! Not enough data to conclude if it's actually listening to my hand signals, or just giving up and deciding to park instead of block the road. Would be interesting to see if other people can try and replicate this. Everything is there for Banish to work, just comes down to Tesla feeling comfortable enough to let it go unsupervised in parking lots.

This is my first true roadtrip. Soon after I discovered Tesla ~9 years ago I began binging Out of Spec Studios Motoring as Kyle roadtripped all across the country. It lit a spark in me, and I started dreaming of the day I would be able to do it too. I bought my first car, my Model 3, last summer, but this trip to Michigan is my first multi-stop / charging required to reach destination kind of trip, the kind I dreamed about watching those videos all those years back (and just last week in the bolt 😉) 14.5 hrs & 888 miles one shot here we go!

UNDENIABLE PROOF: Mark Rober edited an iPhone to look like a Pixel, but missed a frame! If he would edit something this small, it's not hard to imagine what else was carefully constructed. Not saying FSD would see the wall, but Mark is saying it as fact when we don't know.

Tesla's new ASS is addicting. So much more fun using it in a mini-town style shopping plaza (thanks for the idea DJ) instead of just a boring parking lot. This video is from earlier that day, I was honestly surprised it made this turn. Go to Target still works best.

This will be huge and make summon even better. I didn't get to fully test it, but Robotaxi no longer strictly navigates to the pickup point. I noticed it stops right where I am if I am ahead of the pickup point. In this video it's supposed to go to the valet, yet it stopped right where I was just like an uber would. Ruined the epic shot, but much better than when it used to drive right past you!

Spent ~2.5 hours in the rain yesterday testing Smart Summon on FSD v14.3.2 at various shopping centers. Huge improvement in reliability. Not one instance where it disconnected or stopped in the middle of a parking lot like would sometimes happen with the previous version, either due to connectivity, large puddles, or sudden loss of visibility. Some features I would like to see: - Expanded radius. The biggest hurdle is just parking close enough to use it. - Higher speed. People sometimes drive around the car if it's going too slow. - Hazards after completion. Humans put their hazards or a blinker on when pulling over curbside, FSD should too.
