Fear became control. Authority replaced compassion. Countless families were left with guilt, trauma, and rage that will never fully heal. Now we’re supposed to quietly move on—pretend it was all necessary, pretend mistakes weren’t made, pretend families weren’t stripped of their basic human right to comfort loved ones in their final moments. No. People deserve the truth. Families deserve accountability. The lives lost deserve more than sanitized headlines and political spin. If remembering what happened makes people uncomfortable—good. It should. Silence is how this kind of power grows, and silence is how it happens again. Never forget. Never forgive blind authority. Never surrender your voice when it comes to the people you love.
