All this theory of Vijay making a wrong move in arresting Udhayanidhi is humbug. He did what he had to and this was necessary to send a serious message to the miscreants in DMK ecosystem and the alliance parties. No one dared to touch the Golmalpuram family for decades and they thought they could get away with any nonsense. Vijay had to rattle this family once so that others get settled in the shockwave. As long as it is the students who are protesting and their protest is against the irregularities and mishaps in the NEET exams, the protests are totally valid. But the moment fringe elements creep in with ulterior motives, neither the state nor the centre should remain silent, It needs to be curbed. The recent developments have only shown that apart from the campaigns against NEET, its is slowly turning into side campaigns against Article 370 abrogation, slogans chanting de*th of the Prime Minister and staging a Nepal types rebellion. It is obvious that someone else trying to hide behind the student campaigns and achieve their objective. People like Arivu who kept quite during the DMK Govt are now suddenly jumping in to protest at a place that is not allowed for protests. The TVK Govt was polite enough to even have a discussion with him when he actually went against the law. Udhayanidhi's arrest, as celebrated by the whole country was an action that had to be taken to curb the crass talk culture of DMK ecosystem. Vijay, when he was just the TVK chief went personally to the DGP's office to file a complaint against a crass person on his abusive speech against women. As a lower riparian state, Tamilnadu has always been at the receiving end of all possible backstabbing and injustice, all thanks to the DMK-Congress partnership over so many decades when all possible frameworks were done and dusted. Every existing law, tribunal order etc does not favour TN's rightful claim at any point in time across all the water issues. With the Mekadatu dam issue, Karnataka Congress will keep saying it is within its rights to build the dam since there is no clear stand with the Cauvery Water Management Authority & the Supreme Court judgement on this. Tamilnadu Govt will keep opposing since it is a means to block the water resource. With whatever has been happening, it only seems that the dam will be built. The ridiculous solution offered by Chidambaram in this interview is that Congress should come to power at the centre to solve this issue. He also proudly agrees Congress will behave differently in each state. In the late 90s, when Director Shankar narrated Mudhalvan (1999) script to Vijay, Vijay did not agree since he was too young for such a political heavy subject. The movie was later done with Arjun and became one of all time best political thrillers in Indian Cinema. Today Vijay as the Chief Minister is doing his best to create the change and impact in reality that the movie had envisioned then in reel. None of the political parties had the guts to take on corruption like Vijay's Govt. in TN's history. Media houses are slowly turning in favour of this war against corruption that they make this news their first page headline so that people become aware of this. The biggest injustice done to Tamil Cinema by the National Award committee till date will be ignoring the legend Sivaji Ganesan from the best actor category for decades. There cannot be a better performer who literally lived the roles of so many freedom fighters that people till date know only his face when those freedom fighters are discussed.
