From this interview of Amar Prasad, he makes it very clear that for the last 5 years what Annamalai and his supporters like Amar within TN BJP were talking to people is completely different than what others within TN BJP believe and what even they believed in many matters. But they had to talk a totally different language in public meetings for political gains. DMK is setting a very weak narrative on a non-issue instead of focusing on any of the real people issues. Vijay is clear on being just a Chief Minister inside the assembly and not the head of TVK. He is calm and composed all the times, does what needs to be done, respects opposition's view points and acts on it then and there. The quick termination of Radhan Pandit within 24hrs of his appointment as OSD was something Vijay didn't have to do. What was supposed to be a Floor Test on that day became a accusation campaign on the new TVK Govt where every party pounced on this point. In reality every party Chief Ministers- DMK and ADMK have had their favourite people at powerful positions. But it looks like someone really influential did not like anyone else getting close to Vijay. Parties like DMK have been crying over Vijay's win for the last 30 days in every nook and corner stating that he won with Insta Reels in 2 years time. That is just them being in their echo chambers. Vijay had always been clear that he needs to enter politics since early 2000s. He has also been very vocal about it in many interviews too. The Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (VMI) was started for the same reason. SAC kept working on it for a decade. His many movies post 2014/2015 had clear political flavours. Many did not consider him serious since actors like Vijayakanth and Kamal couldn't make it all the way and Rajini did not enter the race. That actually became his strength.
