Property taxes are basically rent you pay to the government for a home you already own. It makes no sense, and we don’t need to waste taxpayer dollars on studies to tell us that. Eliminating property taxes would be a major win for Florida. It would ease the burden on homeowners, boost our economy, and make our state an even better place to live. Let’s make it happen.

UPDATE: My amendment to pull nearly $482 MILLION away from NATO and put it into AMERICAN military bases just failed… 333 Members of Congress, including 127 Republicans, voted to keep sending your tax dollars to NATO instead of prioritizing our own troops and military infrastructure. Can someone please explain to me how short-term, temporary Obamacare subsidies passed during COVID suddenly became untouchable? Not a single Republican voted to extend these COVID subsidies in 2021 or 2022. We all recognized that Obamacare is a total disaster. Premiums have skyrocketed because of the ACA. But now we have four “moderate” Republicans who are siding with the Democrats to continue funding this miserable failure? If you want to show the public you’re serious about healthcare, stop wasting taxpayer money on Obamacare handouts to big insurance companies. I introduced The HUSTLE Act with Rep. Brendan Boyle to help student-athletes invest their NIL earnings and build long-term financial stability. Student-athletes shouldn’t have to choose between preparing for the future and focusing on the classroom. Serial liar Adam Schiff—architect of the Russian collusion hoax and two sham impeachments—is now lying about where he lives to dodge a mortgage fraud scandal. The Constitution requires us to live in the state we represent. But Shifty Schiff apparently claimed Maryland as his primary residence to save hundreds of thousands, while the Californians he represents are crushed by the sky-high housing costs his liberal agenda helped create. Maybe instead of gaming the system, he should fix the dumpster fire he left behind in California.
