It is the honor of my life to be nominated by Donald J. Trump for ONDCP ‘Drug Czar’ It was also a blessing Wednesday to be standing alongside the Angel Families - who have lost their loved ones to this Fentanyl scourge. What makes these moms, dads, brothers, sisters and other family members so remarkable is that they continue to fight to save us and our children from a similar tragic fate. They have found a way to turn their grief into a tool for good - to not only honor their child - but to fight for ours. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And thank you DJT for the HALT Fentanyl Act - which makes illicit fentanyl related substances a schedule 1 drug and anyone caught trafficking these substances will receive a mandatory 10 year minimum prison sentence.
