Where was Korounganba Khuman on May 3rd, 2023 and why? Many Chin-Kuki Twitter handles are spreading misinformation on this saying he was already in Torbung area! As this are significant questions I had done some investigation and here are the answers. 👉As I reported in a previous tweet, Before May 3rd, 2023 Arambai Tengol was an unarmed, little known sociocultural organisation to protect Meitei cultural and religious heritage, particularly preventing conversion of Meitei Sanamahism (Hindu Sanatoni) religion followers into Christianity, being alarmed by the rate of conversion in the last about a decade. Link: 👉In my first significant tweet in June 2023 on the Genesis of Manipur Conflict, I reported that the crisis started well before May 3rd. Yes, truths remain truths and I report truths. On 29th April 2023, Chin-Kuki militants vandalised and burned down Meetei temple and Meetei traditional flag in Thingomphai Meitei Leikai, Churachandpur. Link: 👉The events prior to 3rd May, particularly the vandalism of the Meetei Temple on 29th April 2023, alarmed Arambai Tengol as they could feel something very disturbing was happening, so they were on alert. On the evening of May 3rd, on getting report of arson violence breaking out in Torbung area, the Arambai Tengol team moved towards Torbung to help their community. The videos below are at a Meitei village called Phougakchao Ikhai in Bishnupur District, adjoining Churachandpur District which was the epicentre of the crisis. If you look at the second video below, you can see smoke in the horizon ahead, that’s the Torbung area where the arson attack started by the Chin-Kuki militants. As you can see, Korounganba’s team is moving towards that direction. This is an important piece of information, I hope the judiciary enquiry team already have it at hand. Can you believe this? This incident occurred at the UN! The moderator is lecturing India, expressing a hope that India would become a more democratic and inclusive country. Not only is his mind evidently biased and unwilling to entertain arguments against the narratives he's subscribed to, but he also seems reluctant to let the audience hear the perspectives of the other side. Is he insulting the Meitei community or India? It appears that certain elements in the Christian west are strongly supporting efforts to undermine India as a nation, the moderator is just a mouthpiece of this Christian lobbyist, he danced at their tune! It might be one of the few communities, not just in India but globally, that continues to adhere to its indigenous way of life. They maintain a connection to their roots by preserving and venerating the forest. In the event that an old tree must be cut down due to circumstances, they conduct rituals seeking forgiveness. Their emotional attachment to the land is profound.
