Good laugh. “We have $4,000 worth of bats in the dugout, and we have 2 hits!”

Stop drifting after you land. A lot of hitters think they need to keep moving forward after foot plant to create power. In reality, that forward drift often causes the barrel to work down through and under the ball. Instead, rotate behind your contact point. Keep your head stable, create more space, and give the barrel a better path through the zone. HEAD - down and back slightly OK✅ MOVING FORWARD AS YOU SWING❌ Train with an expert, not an influencer.

THE DRILL THAT GETS HATE… BUT IT’S NEVER FAILED. I was taught this drill many years ago by Epstein Hitting, and I still use it today for one reason: it works. Sit down. No stride. No drift. No extra movement. Now learn to unwind from that position and let your body organize itself to get the barrel through the ball. When you take away the movement, there’s nowhere to hide. You learn how to create quickness and power without momentum. Then we add the movement back in. The result? A quicker barrel, more efficient turn, and ultimately more exit velocity. Sometimes the best way to improve movement is to take the movement away first. They’ll hate the drill. They’ll love what it does to their swing. 💥

You hear MLB players say “MOVE THE TEE” and Most hitters get way too comfortable hitting the same pitch…same height…same location…over and over again off a regular tee. And to be clear — I still believe in regular tee work. But HandyTee takes it to another level. Instead of stopping every swing to drag a heavy tee around… 👉 I let the hitter get set👉 Move the ball instantly👉 Change height, depth, and location on the fly👉 Make the hitter react and adjust That’s what makes it feel more realistic. Different looks. Different decisions. Different reactions. The hitter doesn’t get locked into one perfect repeatable pitch every swing. For coaches doing lessons or hitters wanting more variety and flow in training… it’s a game changer. More reps. Less downtime. More realistic work. “The Tee That Doesn’t TIP.”

The popular walk-through and step-behind drills aren’t just for show. They build rhythm. Fluidity. Athleticism. Instead of getting stuck trying to “hit positions,” hitters learn how to organize their movement, unwind naturally, and make adjustments on the fly. The HandyTee takes these drills to another level by allowing constant location changes without dragging around a heavy tee. More reps. Less downtime. Better movers. Because great hitters aren’t robots. Train with an expert… not an influencer.

You can debate feels all day… But when you freeze elite hitters at heel plant: 👉 the back side starts releasing 👉 the pelvis starts moving 👉 the swing starts launching That pattern shows up a LOT. Watch the front heel… What starts happening the second it hits the ground?
Stance Doctor30,297 views • 3 months ago

🚨 HITTERS — Your front heel plant can make or break your swing. 🚨 When that front heel hits the ground, your head should stop moving forward — ideally right at heel plant or within 1–2 frames after. Why? Because drifting through the swing kills launch time, robs swing speed, and throws off your swing path — all of which crush your chances of consistent, hard contact. ✅ Lock in your head at heel plant. ✅ Maximize power, speed, and accuracy. 💥 Your best contact starts here. #BaseballTips #SoftballTips #HittingMechanics #SwingPower

⚾️ “DON’T DROP YOUR HANDS!” — every coach ever 😤 Meanwhile… (Watch video). 🕺🔥 Here’s the truth 👉 It’s totally fine to drop your hands in your load… AS LONG AS they get back up near the shoulder when it’s go time. 💥 This isn’t a glitch — it’s a rhythm thing.😎 🎥 Watch the video. Your favorite hitters are “breaking the rules” too

SAME RANGE!!!!! 15 hitters with with some similar ranges. ( this pitch is Not low and away) - You can listen to coaches argue online about what’s right, how to move, stance, set up etc. BUT when that swing starts most of the good ones are pretty damn similar! #StanceSwings

Hitting Dumbed Down -Ever feel like you’re dragging the barrel too far when you start your swing? You’re not alone—THIS HITTER struggled with the same issue.” Instead of getting on plane early and driving the ball, the barrel was dragging, getting stuck, and leading to weak ground balls and pop ups the other way THIS HITTERS THOUGHT/ fix? “Think about slicing your shoulder toward the ball. Don’t let your barrel drift too far behind.” “When you ‘slice the shoulder,’ you create a tighter, more efficient turn behind the ball, staying on plane longer and driving through the pitch.” “The result for him? More consistent contact, more power, and the barrel is exactly where it needed to be.” “If you have this issue & Next time you’re in the cage, focus on slicing that shoulder—it could be the key to unlocking your best swing.” “Tag someone who needs this tip, and let’s get to work! 💪⚾””””for those not in at Tampa Bay, I do a remote training via the SEAMSUP APP. The Problem w/ extension drills !!! Too many hitters try to “muscle” the swing. They squeeze the bat, fight the barrel, and kill all the natural whip that creates real power. The best hitters don’t force the barrel — they release it. Loose hands allow the barrel to move freely and naturally through the zone. It doesn’t mean lazy or sloppy. It means relaxed enough to let your body’s sequence — not tension — deliver the barrel. Think: smooth → quick → explosive. When your hands are loose, your forearms and wrists stay live. That’s where the “Power V” starts to form — the natural extension of your hands and barrel after contact. This in many other Hiting tips can be found. In the Summers Method App

AROUND THE WORLD 🌎⚾️ 5 balls.5 locations. One focus: 👉 Flight + direction. Using the MAV mats, I move around the hitter tossing each ball to a different zone. The goal isn’t mechanics today… It’s learning how to:👉 Control ball flight👉 Match direction to location👉 Adjust without panicking👉 Stay athletic through contact Middle-away? Stay through it.Inside? Different flight.Deep? Different feel.Out front? Different intent. This is where hitters start learning how to actually control the barrel instead of just “working on mechanics. Some days are mechanics. Some days are movement. Today was about producing the right flight from every zone. Train with an expert, not an influencer.

This is one of the greatest feelings a hitter will ever experience… and most players never learn it. This drill has nothing to do with mechanics. It has everything to do with execution. The pitcher mixes fastballs and slow balls. Your only two rules: ⚾ Slow pitch or spin? Don’t roll it over. ⚾ Fastball? Don’t pull it. Now you’re forced to recognize speed instead of guessing. You’re training your eyes, your timing, and your approach—not just your swing. This is one of my favorite two-strike drills because it teaches hitters to trust what they see instead of committing too early. A great swing is important. Knowing when to use it is what separates hitters. Train with an expert, not an influencer.

Apparently talking about barrel path is controversial now… so let’s make it worse. 😂 Today’s lesson is about two things: • The plane of the pitch (high vs. low) • The direction you release the barrel (pull side, middle, or opposite field) The plane changes based on pitch height. The release direction changes based on where the pitch is located. Understanding those two things is what gives hitters adjustability instead of forcing the same swing on every pitch. Train with an expert, not an influencer.

Bat Speed Doesn’t set up swing path!!!!Watch 35+ hitters in this video. U can literally close your eyes at this point in the swing. If done correctly you’ll hit it, if wrong, you’ll miss. Different eras, ages, levels, sports, coaches, teams and origins, all doing the same thing. This position is the most important of all of them (especially for younger hitters). No matter how fast the bat is traveling at this point, if it’s wrong, you’ll miss!!! Approach will range from the sternum to the belly button (high / low) and on the shoulder or off a little (in/ out). Watch your videos closely, if you’re missing a lot, this could be the culprit! *the standard feel for this is place the middle of the bat below the deltoid (in the boney area below the shoulder, now take swings connected. Move the bat up higher or lower based on the tee position, turn. As u get comfortable, then add all the snapping, whipping etc u want. But u better get through this position before contact) #StanceDoctor

PSA for hitters: The “running start” in the swing isn’t new. It’s not revolutionary. It’s not proprietary. It’s just forward movement with resistance. And it’s been around forever. Anyone saying they invented it?🤦🏼🤦🏼 Watch these clips — old school to new school — all using the same move. 🎥 This isn’t about trend. It’s about understanding movement. Don’t get sold on noise. Learn the truth. #HittingTruths #BaseballHitting #SoftballHitting #RunningStart #HittersWork #TampaBayBaseball
