Strength athlete. Mother. No-BS human. I lift heavy and say what others won’t. If you want comfort, look elsewhere.

Resorts packed with restaurants full of people smacking their lips, eating with open mouths, drinking alcohol all day long and packing in thousands of calories they’ll never burn… Aqua aerobics that nobody actually attends. Empty shows. Shitty night concerts and bars that drag on till 4 AM. I’ll take this instead: Call me a loner but I really prefer this.

One of the comments yesterday under my post said- Sex with a woman over 40 is like filling the tank of a ‘wrecked’ car? Funny, most 40+ women I know are fully serviced, paid off, and run smoother than half the brand-new models. If I were you, I would be more worried about faulty hose or shooting blanks. And about my ‘empty eggs’, relax. At this stage they’re free-range chickens, organic, and nobody’s trying to hatch anything anyway. We’re just enjoying the ride. And now excuse me, I have 112kg for 10 reps to beat.

Let’s get one thing straight. Some women treat the gym like a strip club and flash everything. I wear normal athletic clothes- that is functional, and appropriate for training. If the shape of my body under standard gym wear bothers you, that’s your problem, not mine. And if you actually believe that liking or not liking one hour of gym content has any effect on the other 23 hours of my life, you are seriously delulu.

Oh absolutely, teaching children how to deadlift is basically a one-way ticket to permanent disability. Next they’ll be showing them how to squat and we’ll have an entire generation of kids who can only crawl. Brilliant parenting strategy.

Let the shitshow about the bar placement begin. Because hip crease is such pervert place for the bar to be. When guys are pulling the bar is DL up to their balls- that’s bueno. No one comments about the smell, about the shorts or so. And don’t get me wrong- it does not bother me at all. But hypocrisy, double standards and mental impairment do.

Anyone who’s gone through basic military training knows this: If you’re lifting something heavy, you use your hips and yes, you look down to control the weight. Your hips are the strongest “power bar” your body has. Firefighters, soldiers, police officers, and anyone in physically demanding jobs learn this on day one. It’s basic biomechanics. But of course, there will always be accounts like ricoDeLaPorn or whatever who argue against common sense just to argue.

Apparently 147lbs bench for a female is extraordinary So here is almost 190. Nowhere near to max. But I’m sure it’s the knee sleeves.

If you feel compelled to correct other people’s form, please be absolutely certain yours is flawless. Nothing undermines “expertise” faster than going out of your way to correct someone, only to be wrong yourself. Actually it applies to everything. 89kg
