Maoist State Committee member Kakarala Samatha surrendered before the Telangana Police at Mulugu. She joined the organisation as a party member in 1985, was elevated to Area Committee member in 1991, District Committee member in 1994, and subsequently to the State Committee in 2003. In accordance with the Telangana Government's Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy, a cheque towards the total eligible reward amount of ₹20 lakh has been handed over to her. I appeal to the remaining three active cadres from Telangana to surrender, return to the mainstream, and avail themselves of the benefits and support extended under the State Government's rehabilitation policy. #TelanganaPolice

It was immensely satisfying to see the Young India Police School at Manchirevula begin its second academic year with remarkable progress, growing from its inaugural batch of 125 students to an enrolment of 345 up to Class VI. After a lull of 10 months, today I chaired the full-scale meeting of the revamped Society Committee and its sub-committees, reviewing the shift to the new campus, civil works, academic roadmap and pending proposals. We accorded necessary approvals and directed officials to expedite construction at the earliest. I emphasised that our collective effort must be to develop YIPS into a national model institution nurturing well rounded individuals through quality education, sports, discipline and values. I'm glad IPSOWA has decided to actively support completion of the school and its President, Smt. Lalita Anand, accompanied me during the visit. I also cautioned about the growing threat of substance abuse among youngsters and stressed the need for the highest standards of discipline and encouraged senior officers to regularly visit and mentor the students. It was a delight to interact with the children joining them for football and watching their enthusiasm in archery, fencing and other sports. #TelanganaPolice #YoungIndiaPoliceSchool

Reaching 4th Battalion, Mamnoor, Warangal this evening as part of my district visit felt like coming back home. I began my career here as an ASP trainee in the early 90s and later served as ASP- Warangal Rural, when the region was a stronghold of naxals. Those were challenging years and we risked our lives. At the Battalion, I was warmly received by ADG (TGSP) Sanjay Kumar Jain, Warangal CP Swetha and Commandant D. Shiva Prasad Reddy. One of the oldest and largest battalions, it played a crucial role in tackling Naxalism and continues to support major police operations, large-scale deployments and disaster response.I toured the campus and reviewed infrastructure, quarters, deployments and disaster response equipment. In my interaction with the personnel, I stressed transparency in duty allotments and transfers, and on the operational front underscored on the importance of faster mobilisation and deployments. Noted their concerns on transfers, promotions, housing and operational issues and assured them of redressal as per procedures. Also urged them to stay away from drugs and online betting, protect their families too from these vices and actively support the anti-narcotics drive. In the evening CP Warangal hosted a dinner get together for district officers in commissionerate headquarters. These interactions strengthen coordination and teamwork. Night halt in Warangal. Tomorrow, the District Crime Review Meeting. #TelanganaPolice

I may stop policing one day… but I will never stop playing sports. Today I inaugurated the 5th Telangana Police Games & Sports Meet 2026 at Saroor Nagar Indoor Stadium, hosted by Malkajgiri Commissionerate. We lit the Sports Torch handed to me by our own national medal-winning RSI Govinda Reddy and declared the meet open with a release of doves and balloons, marking peace, unity and the true spirit of sportsmanship. After nearly 35 years of holding all our police sporting events at a single venue, we've moved to a new Five-Cluster Model this year to widen participation and identify talent early, on the lines of the All India Police Games Cluster A- Boxing, Wrestling, Fencing & indoor sports Cluster B- T-20 Cricket, Future City (17-19 Nov) Cluster C - Lawn Tennis, Badminton, TG Police Academy (7-9 Sep) Cluster D - Volleyball, Kabaddi (3-5 Nov) Cluster E - Canoeing, Kayaking, Cycling, Nizamabad (closing) 21 teams are competing this year Malkajgiri, Warangal, Hyderabad, Future City, Zones I-VII, TGSP Range I & II, Greyhounds, CID & Railways, Intelligence, IT & Communications, RBVP, CBSE/ICCC/Anti-Corruption and TGPMS. Every Commissionerate, Zone and specialized wing represented on one field. We won 21 medals at the last All India Police Games. I want that number to grow with more gold. Government incentives stand firm Gold -3 lakh + 3 special increments. Silver - 2 lakh + 2 special increments. Bronze - 1 lakh + 1 special increment. My message to every senior officer identify your talented sportspersons, back them with proper nutrition, physiotherapy and structured coaching never treat sports as a waste of time. For me, the game is meditation. It keeps me steady through the most demanding of days, and every officer deserves that outlet too. Glad to have actor Naveen Polishetty with us, who reminded everyone that when people are in trouble, two names come to mind God, and the Police. A truth we carry with pride. Appreciation to CP Malkajgiri Sumathi, IPS, for hosting Cluster A with such energy, and to CP Hyderabad V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, and IG (I&L) Gajarao Bhupal for joining us. Sports is not separate from policing it is what keeps us fit to serve. #TelanganaPolice

Big result for Telangana at yesterday's Pragathi Review VC, chaired by Hon’ble PM's Principal Secretary Shri PK Mishra, in the presence of the Union Cabinet Secretary, Home Secretary and senior PMO/MHA officials. Reviewing performance across all states on 9 key cybercrime parameters, Telangana emerged overall number 1 in the country ,a remarkable leap from where we stood just two months ago and a validation of the systems and processes we have been building on ground. This turnaround did not happen by chance. Noticing this in the last review, I visited the CSB in iCCC and reviewed in depth. There I realised that coordination between csb and the various districts and commissionerates was lacking and data was not being fed into the systems, though individually work was being done. Then we had a VC with all the unit officers, CP s/ SPs and informed them our position and the action plan and instructions were given that CSB will act as the coordinator and all will have to act accordingly. Director CSB and the entire team personally monitored the progress and pushed every unit and the results now speak for themselves. 1️⃣Set up India's first Cyber Security Bureau (S4C) 2️⃣ e-Zero FIR live for cyber fraud ₹5 lakh+ 49 FIRs registered 3️⃣ Grievance Redressal Mechanism 88% 4️⃣ Money Restoration Module - 81% 5️⃣ Sahyog Portal - compliance 88% 6️⃣ Samanvaya Portal - 97% inter-state coordination, 5,500 profiles & 15,000 linkages uploaded 7️⃣ Mule Account Hotspots- TG is NOT among the 15 flagged states 8️⃣ CyTrain- 524 officers trained & certified 9️⃣ Public Awareness- 8.5 lakh reached on cybercrime, 2 lakh on Digital Arrest scams Full credit to Shikha Goel and her Cyber Security Bureau team, and every CP/SP who drove this change on the ground through this focused effort that brought Telangana to the top. We will not rest till we bring Telangana on top on all fronts - be it CCTNS, Dial 112, Anti narcotics drive, use of AI in policing and all other parameters of policing. #TelanganaPolice #SmartPolicing #CyberSecurity #TechDrivenPolicing

Today I held two important meetings to review the progress on creation of the new TMARS-Traffic Management and Road Safety Bureau of TG and the TADASC- Telangana Anti Drug & Safety Committees in all educational institutions. Work on these has been going on for the last couple of months and is nearing fruition The TMARS is proposed to lead to standardisation of Traffic Management practices across the state and also enhance road safety through Highway patrolling and also taken up maintenance of traffic signals, setting up new ones , road signages and infra etc. The TADASC will extend the drive against narcotics into all educational institutions and make educational institutions responsible for spotting and informing the law enforcement authorities about any suspicious behaviour of students . The students will have to give affidavits regarding drugs and the educational institutions will be liable for not implementing this. They will appoint campus safety coordinators and work with students and authorities and will also look into ragging, acts against dignity of girl students, traffic awareness. Unless we save our next generation against this danger, we are going to lose this war against Drugs. #TelanganaPolice

Standing today at Karegutta (KG Hills), on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border, a dense forest terrain that remained a Maoist stronghold for nearly 5 decades, beyond the reach of any wing of the administration, accessible only to specialized forces like Greyhounds and CoBRA during precision operations. Over the past year, under Operation Kagar, the Govt of India along with Telangana, Chhattisgarh and other state forces have achieved decisive results, several Central Committee members neutralized in encounters or surrendered and large numbers of senior cadre laying down arms. Over 1,000 weapons have been surrendered to police forces to date. Most remaining cadre are now under watch and undergoing rehabilitation. For the last six months, this once inaccessible area has been steadily opening up. A road has now been laid, paving the way for development activities to begin. Tourism is a key focus the natural beauty of this region, its waterfalls and scenic terrain, hold real potential, offering opportunities not just for visitors but employment for surrendered cadre settled in surrounding villages. At an altitude of nearly 650 meters, the surrounding hills once Naxal-occupied now stand vacated with CRPF forward operating bases established there. Development is progressing on both the Chhattisgarh and Telangana sides. We are confident that, over time, this region will see the return of normalcy and with it, sustained economic and social development. #TelanganaPolice #OperationKagar #GreyhoundsTelangana

Forensic Science is the Backbone of Successful Prosecution. No matter how meticulously we investigate a crime, the case can still fail in court without strong scientific evidence and quality forensic reports. Today, I distributed appointment orders to 57 newly recruited personnel of the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory at our FSL headquarters. I urged the recruits to upgrade their capabilities in line with the new criminal laws, which place greater emphasis on scientific and technology driven investigation. Forensic reports form the backbone of charge sheets and play a decisive role during trial unless evidence is properly collected, analyzed and presented in court, offenders may escape punishment despite thorough police work. I advised them to develop a strong understanding of court procedures, evidence handling and documentation and to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and scientific integrity. With narcotics, cybercrime and financial fraud cases rising rapidly, forensic expertise has never been more critical. Until now, our FSL functioned with just 38 personnel, leading to delays in report submission. I'm pleased that among the 57 recruits, 36 hold Ph.Ds and 15 hold M.Techs their academic strength will significantly boost our lab's scientific capacity and help reduce pendency. I assured continued support in providing modern equipment and infrastructure, and called upon the new officers to work with dedication and scientific temperament to strengthen the criminal justice system. Director Shikha Goel informed that recruits will undergo a five month training programme, with our FSL currently maintaining a case disposal rate of around 80% and POCSO reports issued within two months. #TelanganaPolice

EVERY RUPEE MATTERS! Every rupee spent by our department belongs to the public, and it must be accounted for with complete transparency and responsibility. Today I addressed a training programme for accountants officers of our Telangana Special Police Battalions and I want to reiterate what I told them financial accountability is not a formality, it is a core responsibility. During my recent district visits and review meetings with Superintendents of Police, several gaps in budget management came to my notice. In some units, even the district police chiefs were not fully aware of their own budgetary position. I personally intervened in one case where delayed release of funds was causing hardship to our personnel this should never happen. Our govt has prioritized timely release of funds for the maintenance of police stations and I have directed the Accounts Wing to ensure allocations reach Station House Officers without delay. Digitisation must sharpen our financial scrutiny, not dilute it. I have asked our accountants to examine every bill carefully, not merely forward Excel sheets and online files. Even a minor lapse in scrutiny can have serious consequences. Any official found responsible for financial irregularities will face legal proceedings and departmental action, including suspension or dismissal. I expect every accountant to remain vigilant and uphold the highest standards of integrity. I have also directed that accounts related to police welfare schemes health protection, loans and other welfare funds be maintained with complete accuracy and transparency, because these funds directly touch the lives of our personnel and their families. #TelanganaPolice

Today I attended the closing function as chief guest of the 11 th All India Police Judo cluster games being held in Hyderabad and being hosted by CISF. This involves competitions between 36 state teams and those of the paramilitary forces like crpf, bsf, itbp etc. in the 5 games of judo, karate, taekwondo, wushu and pencak silat. 1600 participants came from all over India and Telangana police helped out by making arrangements for accommodation, transport and security. Sports is an integral part of policing. These games go a long way in spotting talent, enhancing cooperation and coordination amongst the various police forces of the country. I first played in the all India tennis in 2004 and our team won the team championship and I lost the semis. i also take part in all India police cricket and golf and they are really very competitive . Ofcourse, we as a country are no where near winning medals in international competitions and this country needs a big boost in the entire structure to achieve that in sports. #TelanganaPolice

Conducted a comprehensive review of the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau today, inspecting our Cyber Lab, Security Operations Centre, Central Monitoring Unit, Social Media Unit, Child Protection Unit, and Digital Forensic Unit. Director Ms. Shikha Goel, IPS and senior officers presented a detailed briefing on emerging cybercrime trends, investigative techniques and our technological roadmap. I have personally witnessed our AI-powered Cyber Call Centre in action when a caller reported a financial fraud, the system responded with empathy, captured critical details and instantly alerted the concerned police station. This is the future of citizen first policing and I've directed officials to expand such AI-driven services further. Telangana's numbers speak for themselves. In 2025, we recorded a 20% reduction in cyber fraud losses compared to 2024, even as we registered 21,639 cybercrime FIRs, 44% of all cybercrime FIRs in India. That makes us No.1 in the nation. Our FIR conversion rate touched 78% in high value fraud cases above 75 lakh. The amount held in fraudsters' accounts rose from 255 crore to 279 crore . At the same time, I want to be transparent about where we must improve. On national portal performance indicators, Telangana stands 4th in Grievance Redressal Mechanism (GRM) and 6th in Coordination both reflecting reasonable strength. But we rank 18th in Money Refund Mechanism (MRM) and 17th on the Sahayog Portal and these numbers are not acceptable for a state that leads the country in FIR registration. A state topping the nation in enforcement cannot afford to lag in victim refunds and inter-portal coordination. I have directed officials to treat this as an immediate priority and close this gap on a war footing. Cybercrime today accounts for one in every four major crime FIRs in our state and financial losses from cyber fraud 1,524 crore are nearly seven times higher than losses from all other major crimes combined 207crore. This is not a side issue this is the primary threat we face. I have directed every officer to build strong technological skills, adopt AI and advanced analytics nd treat cyber investigation as core policing, not a specialisation. Families are losing lifetime savings to investment frauds and online scams. Telangana has the potential to be India's leading state in cyber policing. We will get there through technology, rapid response and zero tolerance. #TelanganaPolice

Inaugurated the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) Dial 112 at the TGICCC. This AI-based ERSS seamlessly connects the Police, Fire, Medical, HYDRAA, Municipal, Electricity, Highway authorities and disaster response agencies, enabling faster and better coordinated emergency response. Citizens no longer need to remember multiple helpline numbers. A call to 112 is analysed by the AI system, which transcribes the conversation, intelligently routes the call, prepares a gist, identifies the concerned department and the caller's location, enabling the human operator to quickly dispatch the right resources within minutes. Special desks have been established for senior citizens, women and children in distress and NRIs seeking assistance for their families and friends in Telangana. The system also features advanced dashboards, data analytics, and the capacity to handle over 900 calls concurrently. For the first time in the country, we have introduced drones as first responders to provide instant aerial assessment during major emergencies, helping field teams respond more effectively. Having been associated with this project from its inception, it is professionally very satisfying to see it go live. When I was CP-Hyderabad, we allocated the budget to shift the Dial 100 Operations Centre from Kompally, which handled only Dial 100 and Dial 108 calls, to the TGICCC and integrate other emergency services, laying the foundation for what it has become today. We faced several operational and administrative challenges along the way and I have been following up throughout. Finally, we could launch it today through the collective efforts of many officers and other stakeholders. Drone based 112 services, along with drone-based traffic and crowd management, will be launched by Telangana Police in the near future. I urged all unit officers to closely monitor Dial 112 calls, as this is an important system for crime prevention and visible policing. #TelanganaPolice #Dial112

Technology driven policing is our strongest weapon against the rising menace of cyber crime. Today I directed all Unit Officers to sharpen our performance across every national cyber security benchmark, our target is a top position in the national rankings. Reviewed Cyber Security, e-Zero FIR and CCTNS implementation with officers from all police units via VC. The Govt of India has flagged serious concern over the surge in cyber frauds, especially "Digital Arrest" scams, and the I4C periodically evaluates State-wise cyber security preparedness on nine Key Performance Indicators. I noted that e-Zero FIR implementation is yet to reach its full potential and directed officers to ensure effective rollout. Commended T-SPARK and TCSB for nearly 20 e-Zero FIRs registered in just 2 days. Our national standing leaves no room for complacency, 13th in e-Zero FIR, 18th in Money Restoration (46.6% recovery), 4th in GRM, 16th in Sahayog Portal, 6th in Samanvaya Portal, 16th in Social Media performance, 15th in Cyber Security, 8th in Capacity Building. Directed officers to strengthen Capacity Building and IEC activities, and to make full use of CCTNS in every cyber crime investigation. #TelanganaPolice

Chaired the Young India Police School Society Committee Meeting today to review YIPS' progress academics, infrastructure and the road ahead. Proud to share that as the school enters its second academic year, enrollment has grown from 345 to 360 students, with classes now extending up to Grade VI. Encouragingly nearly half our students (176) come from non-police families, which is a clear reflection of the growing public trust in YIPS. Directed officials to expedite the construction of the new 17 classroom academic block within the stipulated timeline. While my vision for YIPS remains clear, it must grow into one of the finest institutions in the country one that nurtures discipline, leadership, moral values, innovation and social responsibility. Quality education backed by world class infrastructure and a safe environment is non negotiable. Also emphasized the role of sports in building physical fitness, mental well-being and character among our children, while keeping them away from social evils like drug abuse. Approved key committees, Procurement, Academic, Infrastructure & Coordination to strengthen governance and ensure sustained progress. #TelanganaPolice
