Iwo Jima veterans Billy Byrd (100) and Don Graves (101) flew to Washington, D.C., where they will serve as Honorary Grand Marshals for the National Memorial Day Parade. 🇺🇸 The first thing they did when they saw each other? Started talking trash. Some things never change. 🤣

Remember the two Canadians who said they’d join the Marines if the U.S. beat Canada in the men’s hockey final? They actually went through 48 hours of OCS… and it’s absolutely hilarious. It went exactly how you’d expect. 🤣 Respect! 👊🏽

🚨The Commandant of the Marine Corps took the floor today at Modern Day Marine. He came out swinging.🤣 “You can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a GO. This doesn’t happen every day because I can’t get this many general officers to come to a staff meeting. Bend their ear.”

Marines, we lost a legend today. Gene Hackman, who enlisted in the Corps at 16, has passed away at the age of 95. David Letterman once asked him about the circumstances that led to his decision to join the Corps. I believe he said it was the Dress Blues! We have the watch! 🫡

How cool is this?! 🇺🇸✈️ Major William Horn showed out as the hometown hero at the Rochester Airshow. Even cooler, his wife, Major Simone Romano, is also a Marine F-35B pilot. Talk about a power couple. Semper fi 🫡

‼️ The SgtMaj of the Marine Corps was asked what it’s like transitioning out. He said, “I’ve never gotten out, but I asked a Sgt.” The Sgt replied, “First it felt like a 96, then leave, then reality hit… I wasn’t go⁠ing back.” Is that what it really feels like, or worse?

6 years ago today, Gunnery Sgt. R. Lee Ermey was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. Semper Fi, Gunny. 🫡
