Benefit Chikomo says he left a comfortable life in Australia and returned to Zimbabwe to enter politics and fight for change. But before he could officially launch his new party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), police allegedly stopped the rally from going ahead in Masvingo. Tafadzwa Matanhuse accused President Mnangagwa and tenderpreneur Wicknell Chivhayo of being responsible for destroying vendor stalls in Chiredzi and throwing tens of vulnerable families into possible starvation. He described Mnangagwa and Chivhayo as dogs, selfish people who are not concerned about the poor and challenged them to kill him if they so wish. He said it is ridiculous that these two donate expensive cars to the rich when the poor are starving. He said Mnangagwa is not going to care anymore about the people after getting 2 years term extension from Parliament. Seeff Zimbabwe has embarked on a campaign to get millions of Zimbabweans in the Diaspora to invest in properties back home. Last week the real estate company put together a property exhibition show in Birmingham in the UK which was sold out with 1 500 Zimbabweans attending. This was the biggest business engagement gathering by Zimbabweans in Birmingham. 80 delegates from 38 Zimbabwean property companies including CBZ Bank and its CEO travelled to Birmingham for the event. Seeff Zimbabwe managing director, Patience Patongamwoyo said her company has come up with packages tailor-made for the Diaspora and these include properties for investment and properties for their retirement when they come back home. There will be gnashing of teeth after CAB3– Chadzamira MORRIS BISHI MASVINGO – Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Ezra Chadzamira has warned party members opposing Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3 (CAB3) that there is going to be gnashing of teeth when that process is done and dusted. Speaking at a Zanu PF Provincial Inter-district Meeting at Clovelly in Masvingo on Saturday, Chadzamira told the gathering that he and the Minister of State for Security, Lovemore Matuke are aware of the political activities of every MP and councilor and secret meetings that are being held to derail the passage of the Bill. CAB3 if passed will allow President Mnangagwa to rule for another two years after 2028 without going to an election and the same will apply to MPs. There is a public outcry over the amendment process with lawyers arguing that extending Mnangagwa and Parliament’s life without a referendum is illegal. Vice President Constantino Chiwenga and top retired army generals have openly opposed the amendments and vowed to fight them. Cop caught assisting Zanu PF vehicles to evade toll fees … A Mirror cameramen last week caught Police Constable Chihoma of Masvingo Central Police Station assisting Zanu PF vehicles to evade paying toll fees at Lothian Tollgate (Roy) along Masvingo-Mutare Highway. She tried to sneak away when the Mirror crew including editorial consultant, Matthew Takaona confronted the toll gate supervisor with evidence. One culprit was a driver, driving Zaka South MP Clemence Chiduwa’s Nissan Navara registration number AGE 0818. Zinara Spokesperson, Tsungi Manyeza said political party vehicles are not exempt from paying toll fees and warned that anyone caught on the wrong side of the law will pay US$30 fine. Last year Zanu PF chairperson, Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri expressed disgust at the behaviour of evading toll fees. Takaona expressed shock at the lawlessness at the country’s tollgates. Videos of this girl (name withheld) stopping vehicles on the highway in places around Mvuma and Chivhu, allegedly soliciting for sex for money MUSASA are trending on social media. Mirror came across the girl in Masvingo CBD today Ministry of Public Service Labour & Social Welfare and she barely looks 15 and needs help. She says she comes from a broken home. Her story is riddled with inconsistencies. She alleges that two truck drivers who posted her pictures on Facebook raped her but when Masvingo Mirror offered to accompany her to the Police she refused. She says she hates truck drivers, all of them and is going to do anything to harm them. Some sources in Masvingo say they have seen her approaching cars in town. Breaking News....Zimbabwe's first Minister of Education, Dr Dzingai Mutumbuka was yesterday evicted from his US$600 000 mansion in Chisipiti Harare by alleged fraudsters who forged title deeds to his property. The buyer of the house only paid US$40 000. Justice Chinamhora who resigned as corruption investigations were starting against him granted the eviction order against Mutumbuka. Heroic kids…Two kids aged 12 and 9 from Domboshava, Magaya Village defied their ages and rescued a woman clasped by the leg by a 4 metre long crocodile along Mungezi River. The 12-year-old pulled the woman back while the 9-year-old fetched a log and tossed out one eye forcing the crocodile to release the woman. National Parks later captured the crocodile and indeed it had one eye missing. The woman was fishing using nets. These boys truly deserve recognition from the State. PGHQ has ordered an immediate stop to activities of Reprographic Rights Organisation, an organisation that knocked at the doors of every business involved in content production demanding US$300 for what it calls copyright licence fees. Business persons said they are being swindled, they complained that the levy demanded is illegitimate, has never been explained to the public, RROZ agents harassed and threatened them and that the use of cops on levy collection missions is unconventional. In the video, an RROZ fails to explain for who they were collecting the money and to what use it would be put.
