Gemma McCaw, I was saddened to learn, is a member of the group B416, who are lobbying for govt intervention to help them keep their kids from the perceived evils of social media. The wife of All Black legend Richie McCaw, Gemma has three young kids. She appeared on the Herald Now program with Ryan Bridge to discuss the ban Chris Luxon's govt is stubbornly insisting it will legislate. Unexpectedly, Gemma seemed to make more of an argument against the ban than for it. She says that as her kids grow older, she will simply not be giving them a phone with internet access. She also highlights that there are already software programs available to help parents keep undesirable stuff from their kids. (Safe Surfer). Gemma's argument seems to suggest the answer to this problem lies with parents. As long as they have the parenting skills and the ability to make the right decisions regarding the welfare of their children. If Gemma can do it why can't every other parent do the same? Bit of a break from politics. Here's a wonderful & very emotional clip from Band of Brothers. WWII has ended. The German forces have surrendered and a German general asks permission to give a parting address to his soldiers. The men listen as the General's words are translated by an American soldier. Its interesting to observe the faces of the allied troops, as they slowly realise that the words of the German General apply just as well to themselves. Then the unspoken thought arises. Have they been fighting and killing their own brothers? The overall scene is a brilliant comment on who really suffers from wars. Its a very succinct and understated message that has more impact for the subdued manner by which it is conveyed. IMHO a wonderful piece of screenplay.

"I don't think it was any one leader that experienced that shift" Jacinda Ardern's response when British show host Graham Norton asked her why she became so unpopular at home. This is an edited version of Ms Ardern's appearance on the show last night, but I have attempted to cover the times when she did say something with meaning to it. To much applause, she tells us what a good, empathatic decent kind and compassionate person she is and how we need more like her in politics. Insufferable as it is, its an appearance that would have undoubtedly helped her book sales. The good news is her assertion (at the end) that she is never returning to politics. Thank God for that.

“You’re part of the problem” Kevin Roberts is President of The Heritage Foundation. He attended the 2024 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, where in a panel discussion, he criticised their arrogant and frequently wrong elitism right to their faces. Mr Robert’s words were prescience in terms of what the Trump administration is doing in the world today and also give a good background on why they’re doing it. An excellent counter to the tumult of leftist BS coming from legacy media.

Ex PM Jacinda Ardern says she doesn't believe she should get a "hard time" if she ever returned to New Zealand. She told long time political ally Hilary Barry on state owned media that "political decisions" she made did not mean New Zealand was no longer her home. Part of a longer interview that is obviously designed to soften up the public for an eventual return. Ardern and Barry both know the truth that if the ex PM ever did return to New Zealand she won't be universally welcomed. She is despised by a large sector of the population and a few propaganda exercises with her mates in NZ's utterly corrupt legacy media won't make it go away.

We can of course ask why education is failing, but the real question is why is it in the same rate of decline in almost every western country? Obviously there is a central command. The same central command that is sending out directions on how to destroy not just education but almost every other facet of our societies. In this video, Dr Bella D'Arbrera reports on her investigation into the Australian education system and the disaster she discovered. We know its happening in New Zealand too and its probably even worse. Another question- are the National Party and Education Minister Erica Stanford the ones to fix this? Given Ms Stanford gave her maiden speech to parliament in a symbolic deep green suit and boasted fulsomely of her environmental past, we probably can't expect too much from her. National as a party have done very little (some say even encouraged) the Maori separatist push in New Zealand. So will they fix it? Not until they recognise the global origins of all of this deliberate subversion, and IMHO they're light years away from that. It needs to be fixed, and most urgently, or our society is doomed.

"Will new hate speech laws be applied to radical Muslim clerics in Western Sydney?" An excellent question from the Sky News reporter and it leaves Australian Deputy PM Richard Marles stammering and stuttering like a teenage girl. The answer should have been an immediate and unequivocal "Yes of course". However Labor are desperately frightened of voter backlash among Muslim voters. As anyone paying attention will know, what Mr Marles really wanted to say is "No it won't".

If you are not sure why so many people are upset about the World Economic Forum, you need to watch this video. In 2022 South Australian Liberal party senator Alex Antic gave a very succinct expanation on why Klaus Schwab's WEF is a danger to the free West. He was trying to warn Australia of what was coming but what he said then applies just as much to New Zealand and many other Western countries. Mr Antic wanted WEF connected politicians publicly identified and their subversive intentions exposed. Sadly, few heard this message and now so many countries are paying the price of corrosive WEF political and social influence. Australia and New Zealand are in a particularly sorry state. If only we had listened.

NZ PM Luxon says he is going to "die trying" to introduce legislation that bans kids under 16 from social media. Australian PM Albanese admitted over the weekend that his legislation, held up by many as an excellent example, had failed. Fines for not enforcing the bans were doubled from $50 million to $100 million. When Newstalk ZB presenter Hosking points this out to Luxon he is not fazed. He says when there are more countries enforcing the same bans, the tech companies will be facing a stronger force and will have to comply. Problem with this is that of the many countries and US states that have tried to do the same as Australia, none have been able to claim a resounding success. The bans are not only difficult to implement, they're facing constitutional challenges for infringing upon basic freedoms. Worse, the tech needed to achieve what Luxon says he wants already exists in software produced by Google, Apple, Instagram, Tick Tok and Youtube. So why is Luxon going for a non-effective blanket ban? Its an issue that is annoying National's vote base. Like congestion charging, climate change (net zero) toll roads, intensive housing, mass immigration and Maorification or separatism. It's impossible to think Mr Luxon could be deliberately throwing the election, but man, he's sure trying hard to give that impression.

Andrew Hastie is most likely Australia’s next Prime Minister. Something tells me he won’t be getting the same affectionate hugs from NZ PM Chris Luxon that Anthony Albanese received. Last week Mr Hastie launched a stinging attack on the Net Zero policies of the Australian Labor govt. Sadly, almost every criticism he makes applies to Chris Luxon’s govt as well. New Zealand has one politician who speaks similarly to Mr Hastie, but he’s not anywhere near as direct. NZ First’s Shane Jones is restricted in what he can say because he’s a member of the governing coalition. However Shane needs to listen to this speech from Mr Hastie and give a NZ version at the next coalition meeting. Directing it to the Blue Green National party and its UN besotted leader Luxon. Someone has to stand up for regular New Zealanders too! This is a little longer than my usual videos at 3 minutes 47 seconds. However its well worth a watch. If only one New Zealand MP could stand up in the house and speak these same truths.

Shamelessly mendacious! Australia's far left Prime Minister Anthony Albanese claims to not know of a viral video showing him leading an anti-Isreali rally during his university days. The whole interview is a disgusting exercise in obvious deflection and obfuscation. Mr Albanese is typical of the deceitful weak soft men (and women) who have gradually worked their way into leadership positions across the West. They care about nothing so much as power. We the people are paying a terrible price for tolerating their weakness and duplicity.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination is a shocking event that will spark tremendous rage in the United States. On Newstalk ZB this morning Mike Hosking’s comments on the shooting were so disgracefully ignorant it makes one wonder how he ever keeps his job as a prime time radio presenter. It would be easy to interpret Hosking’s comments as “Charlie Kirk got what he deserved!". Hosking described Charlie as “one of those guys” and part of the “disinformation campaign on Biden and Covid". Completely overlooking the heroic work Charlie has done for the Conservative cause over decades. He also said “he’s close with, you know (hesitates) the Trumps” (You have to listen to hear the tone of Hosking’s words.) Charlie Kirk, married with two children, deserves far more than to be described in such a dismissive and inaccurate manner by a pathetic ignorant liberal flunky like Hosking. That’s Newstalk ZB and Mike Hosking I guess. Never mind the quality, just enjoy the quantity.

Jacinda Ardern admits to having suffered from "Imposter Syndrome" for the whole time she was PM of New Zealand. She made the admission to an audience of fawning students and staff at the Harvard John F Kennedy forum a few days ago. She suggests to the audience that if they ever find themselves consumed by self doubt they should think of her for inspiration. Frankly, I don't think it was any kind of syndrome. She was right to doubt her competence as Prime Minister. She saw herself as out of her depth because she truly was out of her depth, and in spite of the tales she told the clapping seal Harvard audience about her roaring success in the role, she was in actuality probably the most incompetent PM in NZ's history. Sam Neil owes a large part of his career to and was good friends with convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein. You'd therefore expect him to think twice about criticising someone for being convicted of fraud over 30 years ago. Sam (real name Nigel) has publicly opposed a proposal to establish a gold mine in Otago, the south island province of New Zealand where he lives. NZ First politician Shane Jones and Stuff writer Damian Grant have responded to Nigel's remarks by pointing out the irony of a Hollywood millionaire trying to stop job opportunities for his fellow Otago citizens. Nigel has apparently been badly hurt by these responses, posting an Instagram video complaining of "personal attacks" and describing Mr Grant as a "convicted fraudster". Grant served 30 months in prison for fraud in the 1990s but has since been a model citizen. Apparently Mr Neil, a self desribed "rusted on lefty" begrudges people the option of tuning their life around. The aging actor once named his favourite politicians as Helen Clark and Jacinda Ardern, and said it would probably be a good thing if all world leaders were such women. Nigel has chosen to stick his head above the political parapet on more than one occasion. IMHO he should wear the reaction this naturally causes and shut up with his nasty petulant whining.

Another new book from New Zealand ex Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. Following on from "A Different Kind of Power" Ms Ardern has written a children's version called "What If You Could". A question implying that if only kids model themselves on Jacinda, they can be as successful as she was. In the comments, I'll post a video showing how Ms Ardern made it to the top of the political tree in New Zealand. From being a member of young Labour at 17, spending eight years being trained as a Trotsky style Marxist at the International Union of Socialist Youth, taking over as Labour leader and then becoming PM in an election where she only attracted 36% of the vote. (as opposed to the National party's 44%) This first video though explains how she failed in practically every social/ political objective she said was important to her. After quitting midway through her second term, Ardern left her home country a smoking ruin of debt, disunity and economic disaster. That she now chooses to live in Australia tells you all you need to know about Jacinda Ardern's success as PM of New Zealand. Which drives the question- What really is Ms Ardern doing writing motivational books for children or anyone?

Maori Party leader Rawiri Waititi has drunk the Marxist kool-aid in huge gulps, and he's full to the brim with it. He says his party is on the comeback trail and he's got the policies that should make every non-Maori citizen afraid to go to sleep at night. Such policies include Maori sovereignty, a wealth tax and the abolition of prisons. Meaning if he gets his wish, the streets will be full of criminals, every wealth producer will have departed the country, and governance would be a shambles. If any citizens are indeed staying awake at night, it sounds like they might have good cause. Maori or non-Maori. Remember folks- this is who the media party and their separatist friends want to see in govt with Labour and the Greens. Via the gerry mandered system provided by means of the anachronistic "Maori" roll. Note: Mr Waititi is barely coherent as a speaker. Cutting umms and ahhs and repeated words and corrected phrases reduced the length of this video by half. His thought processes are equally incoherent. To make it worse, he constantly rocks back and forth like he should be wearing a strait jacket. Anyone voting for such a poor example of a parliamentary candidate should be ashamed of themselves.

Political commentator Greg Sheridan said a couple of years ago that communists had taken over the Australian Labor party. He expanded on this to say the same thing has happened in the UK and the USA (with the Democrats). He was ridiculed by the legacy media commentariat for this claim. Today it is more than obvious that Mr Sheridan's prognostication was deadly accurate. Legacy media will never admit it though because they've been taken over by communists too.

The NZ Prime Minister Chris Luxon gives a bouquet of flowers to a breakfast show presenter who is leaving her job this week. TVNZ/ TV One is a heavily biased legacy media outlet staffed by liberal progressives who constantly prefer propaganda to objective reporting. A large sector of the public would like to see it closed down or sold off, but the current coalition govt (and the PM especially) shows no sign of being aware of this sentiment.
