I talk about games... sometimes a bit too obsessively. Business Inquiries: [email protected]

I just came across a Mirror's Edge clone called Panline that looks way too similar to ME despite its 'subtle' differences. TBH I don't advocate for games straight up copying others at all... Like getting inspired is one thing, but copying them 1:1 from aesthetics to the core gameplay... I don't feel great about that. But at the same time, I also want to point out how terrible EA is at handling their IPs and studio talent...

The parkour in Dying Light The Beast is everything I ever wanted... Detailed environments, tons of paths and risk/reward elements in both urban & natural areas! Techland has massively improved on DL2's parkour and imo DLTB easily has the BEST parkour experience in recent games.

Stalker 2 is easily one of the most UNFORGIVING open worlds ever made. It's a hardcore game that treats you like an adult by not holding your hands and letting the Zone absolutely crush you if you're not prepared. There is still some jank but the oppressive atmosphere, the survival mechanics, combat, and the visuals are so PEAK you'll overlook every flaw.

Shadows x Atack on Titan collab made me appreciate how good AC crossovers used to be. For instance, AC Origins x FFXV event was incredibly controversial back in the day, but looking back at it now, the reward, cutscenes, animations, and voice acting all feel amazing...

Cyberpunk 2077's fifth anniversary is close and this game remains one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Man, I hate EA... This is why always online games are anti-consumer. Gamers should be able to play what they bought whenever they want. People spent years of their lives developing Anthem (not to mention the massive toll the project took on Bioware) and players spent money on it. Anthem wasn't perfect by any means, tho it had a few redeeming features like great visuals, the flying mechanic, and that incredible Sarah Schachner score. But it makes me worry about how many other games could just disappear like this...

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced not only adds seamless interiors throughout Havana but also expands the city beyond its walls with a brand new plantation, fort, windmill, viewpoint, and beach and this is just one of many expansions made across the world!

I think Black Flag Resynced's ability slot system is completely inferior to a classic weapon wheel. With a weapon wheel, you can swap your quick slot items instantly, it looks clean on the HUD and it doesn't pull you out of the game world into the inventory menu just to reassign gear. Tbh this isn't just a BFR issue since several AC games over the past 8 years have suffered from it. I really hope Ubisoft adds an options to let players choose between a weapon wheel or ability slots and let us toggle between the compass and a traditional mini map.

I genuinely can't believe Assassin's Creed Syndicate is almost 11 years old... The visuals still hold up pretty well and London's atmosphere is just incredible. The city itself feels denser and more alive than some of the more recent open world games... Ubisoft's artists, man... they always deliver 🔥
