One straight sprint. One curved sprint. Probably good for learning how to lean and keep posture while turning. Maybe helps kids figure out how to accelerate around space, not just straight through it. I know a little… I can guess the rest. Until next time, doggies.

We haven’t done resisted sprints all year due to logistics (lack of sleds per athlete, shenanigans w/ bands), but our times still continue to get better. Here are some sprint start variations we do for accel work. Add any that you do that I’m missing.

I did these movements for 30 on 30 off for 5 sets with 60 seconds between sets. These patterns build the stuff adults forget about and kids desperately need coordination, rhythm, stability, mobility, body control, & athleticism. Give the circuit a try. Until next time, doggies.

Is this the perfect drill? 🤷🏻‍♂️ I know intent was through the roof. Single leg force acceptance and stiffness for the hopper. Straight line acceleration, projection, & chase intent for the chaser. Athletes are competing, moving fast, and solving problems. Until next time, doggies.
