Our warriors began Ukraine’s Constitution Day with great accuracy. Last night, our long-range sanctions reached two oil refineries in Russia. The Slavyansk oil refinery in the Krasnodar region was hit – about 300 kilometers from the frontline. We also reached a refinery in the Yaroslavl region, approximately 700 kilometers from our border. We continue our operations that weaken Russia’s ability to wage this war. Each of our long-range sanctions means fewer resources serving Russia’s war machine, and another step toward peace. We will continue to respond to Russian terror. I thank our warriors for these results! I am grateful to everyone who helps us. We are also preparing a Drone Deal with Germany and working to establish a joint European anti-ballistic system. I am grateful to Germany, and personally to Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz Friedrich Merz, for the support and for the steps being taken toward European anti-ballistic defense. This is the only way to guarantee reliable protection of lives across Europe from missile threats.

Ukraine supports the Iranian people as they are fighting for their future; we also express our sympathy to all the victims of the Iranian regime. During our conversation, we focused on the situation in Iran and the areas where the Iranian people need support. We discussed the importance of strengthening sanctions against the Iranian regime and any other dictatorial regimes. We condemned the cooperation between Russia and Iran, in particular the supply of “shaheds” by the Iranian regime to Russia and the granting of licenses for their production. Such a partnership poses a real threat not only to Ukraine but to the entire region. I thank the Crown Prince of Iran for supporting Ukraine’s territorial integrity. We are preparing a major defense package for Ukraine and a strong step regarding Gripen fighter jets, which will definitely make our combat aviation more effective. Meetings are scheduled today with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, and representatives of the Swedish defense industry will also be present in the delegation format. However, as long as the Russian terrorists maintain control over the nuclear plant, the situation is not and cannot be normal. Since the first day of its seizure, Russia has been using the Zaporizhzhia NPP only to blackmail Ukraine, all of Europe, and the world. Overnight, Russia carried out one of its largest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv. The enemy launched more than 40 missiles of various types – most of them against the capital – and 120 attack drones. As of now, one person has been reported killed in Kyiv and the region, and 16 others have been injured. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Everyone affected is receiving the necessary medical care. Emergency response efforts are continuing at three locations, with nearly 600 first responders involved. The relevant services are also working in the Odesa region. In total, over the course of this week, Russia has used around 1,450 attack drones, more than 1,640 guided aerial bombs, and 99 missiles of various types against Ukraine. People were injured in the Odesa region and Zaporizhzhia, and there was damage in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. This week, the Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Cherkasy regions also came under Russian attack. He came to Ukrnafta and changed the company’s processes after oligarchic control. Thanks to Sergii, Ukrnafta began truly working for our state. Naftogaz made it through a difficult winter, and despite all the Russian strikes, Ukraine remained supplied with gas. It is essential to be fully prepared for the next winter. And everyone around the world sees it. They see that Ukraine needs more air defense, more protection for people's lives, and that the Russian authorities have gone insane over this war and are completely irrational in refusing to end it. But pressure on Russia must work. New sanctions against the aggressor, new support packages for Ukraine, new projects – like our European anti-ballistic initiative, FREYJA – all of this must work. Everyone affected is receiving the necessary medical care. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Fifteen guided aerial bombs were used against the Sumy region. One person was injured in Sumy, and residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, including a library, were damaged. Our other regions also came under attack. I am preparing changes across our diplomatic efforts. We need a new quality of engagement with Ukraine’s partners to ensure the implementation of our agreements on weapons supplies. The agreements reached at the leaders’ level must be implemented much faster and in full. The U.S. and our agreement on licenses for the production of Patriots. Europe and our work to develop Europe’s own anti-ballistic capabilities, as well as other projects focused specifically on defensive cooperation. Also, the support packages for Ukraine that have been announced but, as of today, have not yet been delivered in full.
