Part of the #YellaBeezy interview prosecutors showed in court today focused on the 2018 shooting that left Beezy wounded multiple times. During the VladTV interview, Beezy was asked what he would do if the person who shot him apologized. Beezy said he ain’t with the apologizing and would “get my lick back.” Prosecutors are pointing to that statement as evidence of Beezy’s mindset toward retaliation and to establish alleged animosity between Beezy and #Mo3. The interview is now being presented to the jury as prosecutors work to establish a possible motive in the case.

In 2023, OTF Jam spoke highly of Lil Durk while speaking with DJ Jerry. He said he loved Durk and credited him with making sure he was “straight” while serving 12 years in prison for attempted murder. According to Jam, Durk gave him $50,000 and made sure he had everything he needed, including a car, house, attorney fees and more. Fast forward to now, and Jam is a cooperating witness against Durk. He has explicitly named Durk as one of the men he says was responsible for the killing of Quando Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a “Lil Pab” Robinson. The objections from Kewon White’s defense became notable when Detective Eric Barnes testified that comedian Roy Lee was “assaulted” by Yella Beezy. Barnes testified that Beezy was shot hours after Roy Lee was killed in October 2013. Investigators later determined that a vehicle belonging to Mo3’s bodyguard was used in the shooting. Roy Lee and Mo3 were best friends. The State appears to be using this sequence of events to establish the history of violence and alleged retaliation surrounding Beezy and Mo3, while White’s defense is challenging how Barnes characterizes and connects those events. Roy Lee’s death remains unsolved.
