Faith, Freedom & Israel: Remembering Charlie Kirk’s Legacy and Defending Western Civilization Pastor Allen Jackson asked me to speak last week on faith, community, and the fight against evil. Below is my address. My friend Charlie Kirk was supposed to be there that day. So, I took the opportunity to reflect on my friendship with Charlie, the rise of Turning Point USA, and Charlie’s views Israel in his final days. I spoke with him regularly about Israel, which he vigorously defended throughout his public life. However, he strongly believed Israel was losing the online PR war and was leaving online supporters in a difficult position. He expressed this to Prime Minister Netanyahu. Charlie was under immeasurable pressure on this issue from both the pro-Israel side and those sympathetic to Hamas to conform. Yet he maintained nuance, independence, and I believe consistency. He had the unenviable task of trying to unify all of MAGA on the issue. Add that to the list of great things Charlie was doing that will be missed.
