Terry Hall - "Our Lips Are Sealed".(1983). Back in '81, ex-Specials frontman Terry Hall co-wrote "Our Lips Are Sealed" with his secret girlfriend Jane Wiedlin for her band, The Go-Go's. By 1983, he covered his own track with Fun Boy Three, giving it a much darker, cold wave vibe.

The Flies - "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone". (1966). The Flies, a 60s outfit straight out of London. Their 1966 cover officially marked the band’s shift into Freakbeat and psych rock, driven by fuzz-drenched guitars that were way heavier and more aggressive than their early stuff.

Paul Cook & Steve Jones - "Silly Thing" (1979). Even though it's credited to the Sex Pistols, the song was actually written and recorded entirely by just Paul Cook and Steve Jones. Fun fact: Steve sings on the single version (the music video), but Paul sings on the album version.
