Shorts

I know this movie takes place in 1932, while the character debuted in 1938, but I still appreciate this Superman reference in Everyone's Hero. The filmmakers added it out of respect for Christopher Reeve, who directed the film until he died midway through production.

There's a Looney Tunes short where Daffy complains that the price of seeing a movie in theaters is 7 bucks, so he decides to sneak in. When watching this years later, I'm like, "Dude, I wish tickets were that price nowadays. Daffy had no idea how good he had it in 1990."

To be honest, seeing Netflix’s logo on a movie theater screen feels illegal lmao You feel like a rebel watching a movie in a place where the company who owns that movie prefers that you watch it anywhere but here. Y’know what I mean?

Someone pointed this out to me in a YouTube reply, but the new Paramount Animation logo apparently cut corners by having the standard stars and Paramount text chroma-keyed into the animation portion. It's noticeable at a slower speed in 4K. A star even vanishes for one frame.

Uncle Rusty is an interesting character despite only appearing in four Little Bear episodes. Rusty doesn't have a house like Little Bear and his parents; he lives in the woods and is a less civilized anthro bear. This clip shows it best when he goes fishing the "bear" way.

This moment from the first Mario movie doesn't get talked about enough. I like how natural this conversation is, and the turtle thing even gets a payoff at the end. It just gives these characters so much character.

This short has been online since 2015, but it is a workprint version with temporary sound effects. It has never been officially released outside of Reel FX's 2014 Annecy panel. We may finally have a proper sound version of Flash in the Pain on Tubi.

I see people here on Twitter usually bringing up the credits songs from the Paramount Sonic movies, but I'm sitting right here wishing more people talked about "Look Alike" from the OVA. It has strange lyrics for sure, but DAMN is it catchy.

Here's a compilation of all 5 of my shots from the Chicken Little Rehatched project! The rule specifically for people doing multiple shots was making each one in a different style, and that was fun for me to figure out. I joined late, but I'm happy with the results. Enjoy!

Happy belated 20th anniversary to the Viva Piñata cartoon, which aired on Fox’s 4Kids TV block less than 3 months before the game! It’s notable for being one of the few 4Kids shows produced from scratch, rather than an imported anime.
