finally cracked the code to get this lego assembly effect working without any jank. before there was an issue that forced me to animate 'steps' of blocks in sync instead of staggered like this to hide duplicate/extraneous instances. wonder if anyone is interested in a tutorial

made it work with 4.5 and also added a brush stroke id output mode so you get 3 channels of noise to use for whatever shader variations on a per-brushstroke level
