We just added Prompt Completions to Augment for VS Code. You’ll now get context-aware suggestions as you type prompts for your agent — including natural-language completions, variable names, file references, and more. It makes writing great prompts faster, especially for users who craft long specs or detailed instructions. Powered by full codebase context and agent history, so agent prompt completions feel in sync with what users are trying to write.

Launch Week Day 1: Tasklist is here Eagle-eyed power users have already been putting Tasklist to work. Now, we’re showing you how to get the most out of it. With Tasklist, we’re making it way easier to take a big, vague task—and break it down step by step. So you can actually see what your Agent’s doing, monitor progress, and make changes as you go. It works the same way the most productive engineers do: - Define the ideal outcome - Break it into steps - Verify the plan makes sense That breakdown gives you confidence. Tasklist builds that into how the Agent works.

Claude Sonnet 4.5 vs 4.0 (measured on coding tasks): App from scratch → 4.5: ~20min, functional build. → 4.0: 40+min, lower quality. Simple code change → 4.5: 3 tool calls, correct edit. → 4.0: longer chain, same result. Complex refactor → 4.5: faster + tests passed. → 4.0: slower + failed output. 4.5 reduces wasted cycles—less time waiting, fewer retries, more working code.

Yesterday's Tasklist launch didn’t exactly surprise early users. Turns out they spotted the feature weeks ago. So this time, we built something unpredictable. Something no one could guess. Something no one wanted. (Except one guy. As a joke.) We shipped it anyway. Power users found it early (again). And somehow… it sold out instantly.
