A Russian brand new fishing boat is almost blocking Öresund strait. They seemingly lost propulsion 4 hours ago, drifted north towards the very narrow channels (~300m) but seem to have anchored. Swedish coast guard and police have been at scene. AIS-caveats apply.

It looks like CMA CGM MERMAID, a Malta-flagged 30kt container carrier has crashed into a quay of port Muuga, Tallin, Estonia. She was doing 8 knots into the concrete and is now not broadcasting AIS. I have not found confirmation in Estonian news, but expect it soon. IMO 9961283

Just an anecdote, but today a German air force ppl transport was spoofed all the way to Hanover, and down to ~1000m altitude at that. I have not kept close enough track to say if unique, but it is remarkably far and low and did not start by Kaliningrad as usual but in E Poland

The pattern of Russia-affiliated tankers avoiding hostile south Baltic Swedish waters have strengthened. No outbound tankers has passed north of Bornholm since Sat and today inbound tankers started showing the same pattern. This is brand new behavior, at least since Jan 1 2026.

Southeast Baltic Sea saw a new strong surface level GNSS attack starting July 1 after a week of less intense spectrum. Full data for Swedish stations is not in, but judging from Bornholm it died down morning July 2. As is customary, all GNSS band were affected.
