A German frigate and an auxiliary/command ship has been running readiness patterns of the coast of Latvia for ~36h, slowing down 3.5h ago. Pattern is unusual. Both ship were doing speed continuously in same area, a stance used to keep ship ready for engagement. I was once told.

The ship departed from St. Petersburg and was heading to Vladivostok via the Mediterranean Sea. The official cargo included two 45-tonne nuclear reactor covers for a nuclear icebreaker and two German 380-tonne mobile port cranes Liebherr 420, which were to be installed in the port of Vladivostok. On December 22, explosions occurred on the ship, and on the 23rd, it sank. An inspection of the damage showed a hole in the hull with a deformation of the metal inward, which indicates a hit from the outside, not an internal explosion. I wouldn't be surprised if this is Ship 40's new staging location for some sort of awesome vessel like this. Black Marlin was just used a few weeks ago to ship this massive cat off to South America from Tasmania. It just sinks down, and rises back up with a ship on board.

On July 3rd, it traveled directly to Ayungin Shoal and later proceeded to Panganiban Reef. After a few hours, the ship was detected once again, this time heading towards Escoda Shoal. She was radio challenged by the PCG vessel, BRP Teresa Magbanua. The PCG asked the intention of the Chinese ship and emphasized that it was operating within the Philippines' EEZ. For over two consecutive days, the Chinese Coast Guard ship has been anchored at Escoda Shoal, maintaining a close proximity to BRP Teresa Magbanua. The distance between the two vessels is less than 800 yards, with the Chinese ship positioned on the starboard beam of the PCG vessel.
