over the weekend i built and shipped Sentra for our docs. we use Mintlify for documentation. the built-in assistant kept running into context issues. wrong answers, missing context, no citations. so we extended Sentra's capability to the docs site directly. now when you're reading Dodo Payments docs, you can ask Sentra questions right there. it pulls context from our entire documentation via RAG (the same contextmcp (completely opensource) + Pinecone vector search with reranking), generates grounded answers, and cites the exact doc pages. built as a single Cloudflare Worker serving both the widget and the chat endpoint. React widget bundled into one self-contained IIFE, mounted in Shadow DOM so it doesn't conflict with Mintlify's styles. OpenAI models routed through Cloudflare AI Gateway. Vercel's AI SDK for streaming and shadcn for beautiful chat components. live now at

A lot of people have been asking what kind of scale or sophistication he actually operates at. This video should answer all of it. The setup he showed me is wild - a fully distributed infra stack that can seamlessly bypass Cloudflare Turnstile, reCAPTCHA, hCAPTCHA….. all of it. No brute force, no guesswork, just pure engineering. Say what you want, but you can’t underestimate someone who builds systems like this from scratch and runs them at global scale. we just rebuilt Dodo Payments from scratch. migrated entirely off framer. rewrote the whole thing in astro. the old site looked fine but under the hood it was slow. heavy javascript bundles. unnecessary client-side rendering for what is fundamentally a static marketing site. page speed scores were mid. every time we wanted to change something it felt like fighting the tool instead of building. so we nuked it. astro ships zero javascript by default. every page is static HTML unless you explicitly need interactivity. the result is a site that loads almost instantly. lighthouse scores through the roof. SEO actually works because crawlers aren't waiting for javascript to render your content. the migration took effort but the tradeoff was obvious. full control over every pixel. no vendor lock-in. no mysterious build steps. no "why is this component re-rendering on every page." if you're running a SaaS marketing site on a no-code builder and wondering why your page speed is garbage, this is your sign.
