Arisa ended up getting a really good bit of characterization in this movie. She was underutilized in the main series, iirc.

The best parts of Twin Peaks were when it randomly decided to hit you w/ extremely beautiful and tender scenes out of nowhere with a character you wouldn't expect. This is my personal favorite example:

This is basically how I feel whenever this "Watching a let's play is the same as playing it yourself" discourse flares up.

"I hate grown-ups!" Love it, Machu is really growing on me as a protag. This is the sort of shit Kamille would do.

Fuck, this actually hits pretty hard. I ended up way more emotionally invested in the Tachikomas than I expected.

So Bravern has dropped all pretenses and innuendo at this point, I'm just watching a gay robot show without any layers of irony separating me from it. Very impressive how Bravern very slowly pulled me out into deeper and deeper waters.

-SPOILERS FOR GQuuuuuuX Ep 11- It has been a long time since I've had this visceral of a reaction to an anime. The moment those first few notes started playing I sat up in my chair.

Okay, I think I'm probably going to like Macross 7. This is the sort of goofy shit I've wanted from the franchise since watching SDF.
