Such a shameless and reckless statement by DCM DK Shivakumar! When the person responsible for developing Bengaluru speaks like this, it is nothing short of an open admission of his own government’s failure and incompetence. The city’s crumbling infrastructure, flooding, and garbage crisis are the direct result of this government’s misrule — and instead of showing humility or remorse, the DCM chooses arrogance and mockery. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Mohandas Pai — both proud Kannadigas — have built world-class enterprises, created thousands of jobs, and put Karnataka on the global map. Documents reveal that CM Siddaramaiah , during his 2015 tenure, gave “in-principle” approval and deemed extensions to 9 private firms involved in illegal mining — causing a staggering loss of over ₹5000 crore to Karnataka’s exchequer. This isn’t just administrative failure — it’s willful, systemic corruption. To address North Karnataka’s underdevelopment, the govt must focus on infrastructure to attract private investment. A second Bengaluru airport near Tumkur-Shira could spark industrial growth toward North Karnataka. The ITPL story is proof of this. I remember visiting ITPL soon after it was inaugurated—there was nothing there back then. Today, that one building has driven massive development across the region. The same applies to Electronic City and its impact up to Hosur. A similar approach with the Tumkur-Shira airport can transform North Karnataka. In the Karnataka Assembly, I spoke on the persistent neglect of North Karnataka, a region that has been ignored despite 75 years of Karnataka’s formation. Our state was born from the struggles of our people, fighting against the British and the then Congress government in the Centre, with Dharwad as the hub of the unification movement. We united with the hope of development, yet today, North Karnataka is treated like it isn’t part of Karnataka. The Nanjundappa Committee report remains a testament to this inequality. In agriculture, education, healthcare, tourism, and more, the focus has been on South Karnataka, leaving North Karnataka far behind. District-wise income data shows that the best-performing districts are all in the south, while the worst-performing ones are in the north. This disparity is driven by the concentration of private investment and industries like IT, BT, and automobile sectors in Bengaluru and its surroundings, as well as the presence of PSUs like HAL and BHEL in the south. Even in government representation, the inequality is stark—only 12% of gazetted officers and 8% of non-gazetted officers hail from North Karnataka. To address this, the government must take proactive steps: 1️⃣ Develop infrastructure to attract private investment in North Karnataka. 2️⃣ Provide higher incentives for industries to move northward compared to South Karnataka. 3️⃣ Plan the second Bengaluru airport near Tumkur-Shira to facilitate industrial growth in the region Bengaluru is already saturated, forcing people from North Karnataka to migrate for work. Instead, we must create opportunities in their own region for holistic growth. College students are often recruited with promises of permanent jobs, only to be hired as apprentices instead. To make matters worse, many firms promise permanent roles after the training period, only to replace apprentices with new batches, leaving the previous group jobless overnight. Meanwhile, these companies continue to enjoy benefits under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme This blatant exploitation is destroying the future of our youth. ಮಾನ್ಯ Siddaramaiah ನವರೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಯಾವ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ಕೆಲಸ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ ಅಂತ ನೀವೇ ತಿಳಿಸಬೇಕು. ಒಂದು ಕಡೆ ಕಂದಾಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ತಾಂಡವ ಆಡುತ್ತಿರೋದನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಃ ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ಕಂಡ ಕಂದಾಯ ಸಚಿವರಾದ Krishna Byre Gowda ಬೆಚ್ಚಿಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನೂ ವಸತಿ ಸಚಿವ B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan ಅವರ ವಸತಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದುಡ್ಡು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೇ ಮಾತ್ರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.ತಮ್ಮ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮನೆ ಕೊಡಿಸಲಾಗದೇ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಶಾಸಕರೇ ಕೈ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಬರಗೆಟ್ಟು ಹೋದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ತರಹ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದು ಸಬ್ ರಿಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರಾರ್ ಕಚೇರಿ.ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಆದಾಯ ಬರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೇ ಈಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸರ್ವರ್ ಡೌನ್. ಭಾರತದ ಐಟಿ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ವರ್ ಡೌನ್ ಅಂದರೇ ಹೇಗೆ ? ಖಾಸಗಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳಿಗಿಲ್ಲದ ಸರ್ವರ್ ಡೌನ್, ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಕಚೇರಿಗೆ ಆಗ್ತಾಯಿದೆ ಅಂದರೇ ಸರ್ವರ್ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಪಾವತಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಪಾವತಿಸಲು Karnataka Congress ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣವಿದೆಯಾ ಅಥವಾ ಇಲ್ವಾ, ಅನ್ನೋ ಅನುಮಾನ ಕಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.
