Just experienced streamable 4D Gaussian Splatting content on Apple Vision Pro… and it's insane 🤯 Seeing life sized volumetric people performing right in my room is kind of mind blowing. It really feels like real humans are standing in front of you. And it streams online just like regular video. No massive downloads. No waiting. Awesome work by Gracia 👏 Apple Vision Pro + Gaussian Splatting is one of the most futuristic things I’ve seen in a long time.

Spatial videos on Apple Vision Pro are certainly cool, but I’m already taking 3D immersive videos using my iPhone and viewing them in mixed reality on Meta Quest 3 This is one of the most WOW moments I’ve experienced with technology. Recorded memories are in pretty good quality, real size and 6DoF, meaning you can walk around it, get closer. And it’s clear that this is still far from being perfect, but I can feel the presence. I drove a real car while wearing a VR headset 🤯 This might be one of the wildest driving experiences I’ve ever had with BMW M in Germany. They put me behind the wheel, but instead of the real world, I saw a fully digital racing track through the headset. I was driving on an open airport field, but visually I was fully inside a race. I could still see my real hands, the steering wheel, and the dashboard, but through the windows I saw a virtual world and track. And it’s multiplayer. I was racing against another driver on a different field, and our cars and the map were synchronized between us in real time. Insane tech. It felt surreal. Hard to wrap my head around. I know I’m in a real car, actually driving, but visually I’m in a video game. Crazy. Thanks BMW BMWMotorsport for the demo!

Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but almost every time I wipe my iPhone Air or 17 Pro Max with a shirt/sweater, little hairs or even clumps get stuck between the screen and the frame. Never noticed this issue with previous iPhone, but now it happens almost every time.

Yes, of course higher resolution screens are welcome, as well as more polished software. But it's still cool.
