I don't think people gave nearly enough attention to this segment during the Flight 12 attempt 1 broadcast. That footage is absolutely terrifying.

Still insane to me that this actually happened. Prior to Tianlong-3's incident launching during a static fire was treated as a ridiculous joke and something that could never actually happen in the modern age.

I need them to use that ground shot for ignition and then switch to a tower camera for liftoff. Flight 3 proved this is by far the best sequence for liftoff shots.

Still crazy to me that a team of less than 10 people made this in under 18 months.

This is definitely one of my favourite angles of the booster catch, I think it really shows off the precision that's required.

I don't think people who started following the starship program after flight 2 can truly understand just how insane watching the booster fly with 33 Raptors ignited was. Almost no one thought this would happen, saying it would happen was considered a joke.

Thinking about that time Common Sense Sceptic got basic orbital mechanics completely wrong.

Launch abort tests are very satisfying to watch.

CRS 7 is the only time Falcon 9 has ever failed during first stage flight. It was caused by a COPV in the second stage coming loose and striking the tank dome after a strut holding it in place broke.

I lost all sense of scale after the explosion consumed every large structure so I did this to see if i could get some of it back.

This segment of the Neutron dev update was already dumb when they posted it over 4 years ago but it's aged so damn poorly lol.

NASA should be extremely embarrassed at how much better Everyday Astronaut's coverage of the launch was compared to theirs.

AMOS-6 is one of only 3 failures of Falcon 9 that have resulted in loss of payload. It's also still one of the most talked about failures of all time.

Rocket Lab's Mars Sample Return proposal is definitely my favourite. If the US wants to get those samples back in any reasonable timeframe i think they should get the contract.

Stoke Space's Andromeda 2 engine is incredibly unique. It's a single engine which feeds 24 thrusters around an actively cooled heatshield allowing the second stage to reenter engines first. It's also designed to operate in both sea level and vacuum conditions.

SpaceX have finally posted the footage of Ship 39's static fire.

Like seriously, making a completely unique second stage engine wasn't enough for them. They also had to make a full flow staged combustion cycle engine for the first stage.
