Booster 19 has performed a Static Fire test, this fire was much longer than the previous ones. 📷:NASASpaceflight

I don't think people gave nearly enough attention to this segment during the Flight 12 attempt 1 broadcast. That footage is absolutely terrifying.

The gridfin on the right seems to have locked up during todays landing, luckily the booster had sufficient control authority to compensate for this and land successfully.

The banking maneuver Starship does is so cool, I can't wait to see what it looks like from the ground hopefully later this year.

Still insane to me that this actually happened. Prior to Tianlong-3's incident launching during a static fire was treated as a ridiculous joke and something that could never actually happen in the modern age.

Still crazy to me that a team of less than 10 people made this in under 18 months.

I need them to use that ground shot for ignition and then switch to a tower camera for liftoff. Flight 3 proved this is by far the best sequence for liftoff shots.

I really hope we get this angle from Flight 12 whenever they release more footage.

This is definitely one of my favourite angles of the booster catch, I think it really shows off the precision that's required.

I don't think people who started following the starship program after flight 2 can truly understand just how insane watching the booster fly with 33 Raptors ignited was. Almost no one thought this would happen, saying it would happen was considered a joke.

Say what you will about China but saluting att ignition goes incredibly hard.

I lost all sense of scale after the explosion consumed every large structure so I did this to see if i could get some of it back.

This shot of Booster 7's 31 engine static fire from Cosmic Perspective is probably still the greatest video of a booster static fire we've ever gotten.

The skycrane manoeuvre still feels insane to me. It's like one of those crazy proposed ideas you read about but this one is actually real and has worked multiple times.

Flight 8 definitely had the scariest catch, for a moment I honestly thought it was about to crash into the tower.

AMOS-6 is one of only 3 failures of Falcon 9 that have resulted in loss of payload. It's also still one of the most talked about failures of all time.

We're getting so close to finally seeing this beast fly again.

Rocket Lab's Mars Sample Return proposal is definitely my favourite. If the US wants to get those samples back in any reasonable timeframe i think they should get the contract.

Stoke Space's Andromeda 2 engine is incredibly unique. It's a single engine which feeds 24 thrusters around an actively cooled heatshield allowing the second stage to reenter engines first. It's also designed to operate in both sea level and vacuum conditions.
