I work with a lot of infielders that do not understand the speed of the game and the internal clock you must have. 1st ball SS slows his feet which slows the arm down and almost throws ball away. 2nd ball doesn’t make the same mistake. They practice at a certain speed, which translates to the game. Every line time in this video is under 4.4. Put your infielders on the stop watch at practice. Challenge them to be under or at a certain time. Start at 4.5 and work down. Call out every time so they know if they are rushed or have time. The internal clock is one of the most important parts an infielder can have!!

Prep-step timing-How efficient they react to batted balls. Never mentioned Velocity across!! #noneedforPGshuffle

Tag Plays should be worked on every day! They can change an Inning/Game in an instant! Infielders are now working to the front part of the bag. Why? Catchers are working on throwing to the slide path of the baserunner. Here are keys to tag plays: 1. Let the Ball Travel/No Reach 2. Catch/Tag-Knowing runner is working for the back part of the bag 3. Stay athletic/ Use the swipe tag/Do not let your feet get stuck Ultimately getting your left knee over the bag is Ideal for the setup. Stay athletic/let the ball travel/catch tag

Balls that are centered at an infielder. (Not forehand or backhand) The glove should not get outside of the shoulders. Inside the shoulders at the midline allows for it to be on time and allow adjustments. Outside shoulders the glove will be late especially when it speeds up!
