On Friday, Stats Canada announced 48,000 private sector job losses, mostly full time. Total job losses 33,000. In the United States the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced an increase of 228,000 new jobs. Remember though, Mark Carney is an economic star.

I’ve often heard of the hawks in downtown Toronto being savage with other animals, even taking small dogs. Until today, I had never seen it. Here is a hawk eating a pigeon outside Kelly Library at St. Mike’s at U of T.

Spoke to Alberta Premier Danielle Smith ahead of the referendum vote. She says she understands why people have grievances against Ottawa, but says things have improved and she believes in staying in the country while getting more provincial powers - like Quebec has. Thoughts?

This was the most interesting part of Carney's appearance this morning. Asked what changes the Americans made that were unacceptable, he gave a clear and direct answer with concrete examples. This was not a deal any PM should have signed with those auto tariffs on trucks.

This is the rally Pierre Poilievre held in Brantford yesterday. His newly appointed candidate Kevin Davis is speaking and when he mentions Dave Carroll, former Conservative MP Phil McColeman stands up and walks out. McColeman and Larry Brock endorsed Carroll for the nomination.

Mark Carney is in the middle of making major changes to Canada and our economy including moving us closer to China and the EU. Toronto Sun Editor-in-Chief Adrienne Batra says that Carney doesn't seem to trust Canadians with the details. Do you agree?

Does Mark Carney have a mandate to have Canada join the EU even as an "associate member?" What about changing how our airports operate or drastic changes to labour laws. He never campaigned on any of this but claims he does have a mandate. What do you think?
