Royston has me convinced this court case will be a disaster for Harry ๐ He says Dr Sophie seems determined to expose how she was 'wronged', so it seems unlikely she would settle. Royston says any text messages between Harry and Markle and others being made public could be reputational nightmare. And one point he made about correspondence being made public was that if it was anyone else having to share messages, then 'a phone might conveniently go missing', as a way to avoid sharing it. And it reminded me of when Harry said to the courts he'd (conveniently) deleted a lot of the emails he'd exchanged with the author of Spare. full ep

2/3. Royston saying the celebrity's speech probably didn't much attention as the risks of technology are now far far greater than this one problem, so what she was talking about isn't as topical or relevant as it once was. And that while she does have her own story to tell about the 'harm of social media' the public are tired of hearing about it. Also the fact she's not the star she once was (๐ฃ๐ณ๐ช๐ฆ๐ง๐ญ๐บ, ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ด๐ฆ ๐ง๐ฆ๐ธ ๐บ๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ด ๐) full ep

Palace Confidential thread. 1/5. Rebecca saying she was told that, at the time of the Sandringham summit Harry not only knew he'd lose MET police protection if he moved to Nth America, that he'd accepted it. And that the negotiations were then around what private security he'd get, and who would pay for it. It turned out King Charles paid for at least a year of private security. Full ep

Royston says the People puff piece seemed like an attempt to steal attention from King Charles, and that it's notable that it failed. And that it's a sign of how their star is fading. Royston also says that, despite People magazine having all kind of positive quotes from people connected to the two celebrities, the magazine felt the need to start the puff piece with negative tones as a way of 'setting the scene' (๐คจ ๐ญ๐ช๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ฅ๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ฆ ๐ด๐ฐ ๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐บ ๐ด๐ต๐ช๐ญ๐ญ ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ '๐ถ๐ด ๐ท๐ด ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ฎ' ๐ฏ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ท๐ฆ) Royston points out that it's unclear what outcome Harry is actually hoping for with his father. full ep

Prince William.. ๐๐ซ๐ฅบ โI think.. stuff to do with family overwhelms me, quite a bit. You know, worry or stress around family side of things does overwhelm me quite a bitโ โBut in terms of doing the job and things like that, I don't feel too overwhelmed by that. Umm, not now anyway, when I was younger, yeah there are bits that overwhelmed me...โ โBut with time and age I think you feel a bit more settled in that side of things, and you go 'actually, I can do that'โ

1/3. I 100% agree with Rebecca on this week's Palace Confidential, and I'm tired of the media ignoring the elephant in the room. The amount of absolutely relentless PR and oversharing that these two are doing, unparalleled by any other public figures, deserves scrutiny and exposure. They always have a gimmick, a plot, a scheme, some SEO manipulation. I know they are flopping, everyone has noticed it in different ways. And I know they are losing staff and opportunities, but what they are doing almost seems manic these days. What is going on? full ep

1/2. Yes, it's hypocritical. It's inappropriate, frankly any celebrity constantly using their children in such a blatant way would be called out, but a British monarchy titled American celebrity is ridiculous. Crazy that this circus is still going on. I didn't mind Mark Nolan in this ep (even though he seemed to mix up Anne and Edward..?) full ep

Royston pretty much acknowledging they're irrelevant, saying no one cares what they say anymore, that they have no impact other than hate viewers/negativity. That their flop era has outlasted their success era. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ the problem is their USP is fading and they haven't hustled to build anything else. And even if they 'returned' to Britain things are different now. It's been over six years, that's a long time. They'd be desperately chasing a seat at a table that doesn't exist anymore, and will definitely not exist in the future. William and Catherine are building a new table for themselves and for their children and the monarchy. One without the chaotic drama some family members represent. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธthe two celebrities really wasted their opportunities didn't they? (didn't think much of this episode) full ep

Rebecca talking about Princess Catherine's upcoming work visit to Reggio Emilia, and her work in the early years and Centre for Early Childhood. A good description, and reminder to those looking for quick results from Catherine's work in this area. Thoughts.. โข His comments kind of invalidate the ๐ด๐ต๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐จ๐ต๐ฉ of any accusation he's made before. He's now 'ready for reconciliation', so the long list of terrible things his family was meant to have done (including racism and mental healthcare denial while his pregnant wife was suicidal) is forgotten. And once again we are given the impression he exaggerated previous grievances, likely to hurt and damage his family. โข He seems almost broken by being told his feelings about his security are not valid. I hope he's receiving support with this situation, for the simple reason he seems truly unable to comprehend the facts and he seems on edge. I wonder who around him is being frank with him, and who is coddling him etc. The fact that he continued to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, that he now wants to involve the Prime Minister, that he sees this as a big 'establishment conspiracy' involving the previous government and royal family, all who want him and his family dead... all show he's spiralling. โข He seems to know what he's done to his brother, but cannot speak directly of it. I think once the rawness of the security decision passes he'll harden up again, and go back to immaturely lashing out hoping for a response, but in this moment he seems a tiny bit aware. He knows he's done damage. Him saying '๐ด๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ง๐ข๐ฎ๐ช๐ญ๐บ ๐ธ๐ช๐ญ๐ญ ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ๐จ๐ช๐ท๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ธ๐ณ๐ช๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ข ๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฌ', then adding '๐ธ๐ช๐ญ๐ญ ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ๐จ๐ช๐ท๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ', glancing away, '๐ญ๐ฐ๐ต๐ด ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ๐ด' That '๐ญ๐ฐ๐ต๐ด ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ๐ด'... yeah, Harry knows what he's done to William. Because one thing is clear, for Harry it's always been about William. Who became a key paternal figure in his life, and who in Harry's eyes utterly betrayed him with the position he took to Markle. โข Harry sounds very insecure when talking about reconciliation, and his father. The '๐ ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฏ'๐ต ๐ฌ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ค๐ฉ ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ง๐ข๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ฉ๐ข๐ด' is not only about Harry and his relationship with Charles. I think Harry sees (is counting on) any bridge back to William going through Charles.
