The National Fire Academy (NFA) is undergoing a major transformation into a world-class training hub, featuring a state-of-the-art simulation “Fire House”, advanced rescue props for aircraft and automobiles, and facilities designed to train up to 3,000 personnel at once. From drill towers to automated fire scenarios, this 23-hectare facility is setting a new benchmark for excellence, preparedness, and strategic response.

Yesterday, I inspected the ongoing installation of e-Gates at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja where the project is over 90% to completion. With support from the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, SAN, CON, FCIArb (UK) Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, among others, we are poised to achieving so much success under the #RenewedHope government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In 2025 alone, the Kuje Custodial Centre has produced 7 inmate graduates as part of its mandate to provide a conducive environment for learning and rehabilitation. Till date, it has produced 1 PhD and 6 Master degree holders. Also, 5 other degree holders are due for graduation this year. The centre has equally produced 45 undergraduates, with 95 inmates currently enrolled for NABTEB, as well as another 95 enrolled for NECO. It is impressive to see the private sector and the civil society organizations like the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) partner with the government to give a new lease of life to inmates.
