I don't understand how anyone can be impressed by this. Okay, wow, a machine flickered some photographs together fast enough to trick your eye into seeing movement. Okay, splendid. The fundamental problem with these moving pictures — and why I will never be interested in a cinematograph show, no matter how clever the illusions become — is that I simply have no interest in the stories a machine tells. I don't want to watch a projector's story any more than I want to sit and listen to a phonograph tell me about its hopes and dreams. If the story has no soul behind it, no living actor before you breathing the words, no stage, no real theater — then it lacks the one and only thing that can make it worthwhile or interesting.

Can AI dance and choreograph? Yes. Yes, it can. I had a song stuck in my head last morning, and before noon, I managed to get it out by making this music video. From idea to execution, it was created in a single morning with Runway. Good ideas don’t need big budgets. Just great storytelling.

TIL The Matrix spent $40M for a 6-minute VFX scene. That means they spent $150,000 per second. Yes, that's per second. If you blink for too long you might have missed a couple million in production. Other major movies spent between $20,000 to $60,000 per second. h/t from the last Corridor Crew video where they ranked the most expensive VFX shots.

The new Gen 4.5 update feels like an incredible unlock, especially for narrative work and consistency across scenes. Whenever I test new models internally, I find that the best way to evaluate performance is to use them to build a story. Here’s one I’ve always wanted to see brought to life.
