Yep! Just look at what happens if you plant crops into whatās been in pasture for decades. Itās unbelievable the output that produces. I donāt do this very often but every once in awhile we break up and then reseed. Same as a hay field. Bottom line is that grazing cattle are an environmental benefit!

The fairly obvious pending situation with Argentina and beef imports is as deadly to the family Rancher as the Gailās of November were to the Fitz. I wonder how many politicians shorted the cattle market rn?? Will be interesting to see the data on how much insiders make on this deal my friends!

Chop ice, feed animals, struggle with equipment in sub zero temps. Basically whatever tf it takes to keep as many animals alive as possible at the expense of their own comfort. I mean diesel is $5/ gal. 4 gal of diesel doesnāt go far when youāre trying to manage a cattle herd and get calves from birth to a plate! Thatās just one cost. Believe me thereās many more. Donāt ever try to figure labor!! Or worse, potential income from labor you could make if not raising cattle! Itās not as cut and dried as saying beef is too high! Whatās a latte now at Starbucks? Whatās the price comparison of the nutritional value?!

Well boxed beef was UP AGAIN today. Fats were down again today. The quickest way to mitigate it all is to find a local rancher and buy directly from them. Itās logistically tough in places but the more we can do that then the better off our country will be. š„©š„©šŗšø

Time for consumers to do their homework this weekend. How did we build a 70 year low cattle herd in one week??! Thatās a question for the ages my friends. You say no itās because we might import. Import what? A weekās supply of total beef in a year or whatever low number it is? This drop off the farm will have zero impact on the poor consumer. This was a targeted big Ag move to create drama to move a market for traders at the expense of the Country! Why do say that Steve? Because, we were to the point of heifer retention and building but now we will think twice! The long term effects of this nonsense will have negative effects on the herd size! Period šŖ
