Thank you Elon Musk , now say it louder for those in the back! We have fewer cattle in this country rn than we had in the 60’s. Not to mention the amount of buffalo that once roamed! There is NO climate Crisis!! Don’t be fooled again!

Kicker is that we blow through gallons of $5 diesel to keep ragweed and other invasive weeds out of pastures so we can raise “high” priced beef! But hey we all deserve cheaper beef I guess. Why aren’t we forcing cheaper tractors or trucks or heck even Lattes at starbies🪓

Listen up! Us Ranchers want you to have affordable beef. We currently have that if it comes directly off the farm and you pay the processing and the Rancher. At today’s prices that’s still around $8-&10/lb for everything! Including steak. That endures that WE has profit! Which we often struggle to get , thus so many ranches gone now. If the solution is importing cheap scrap cuts without a LABEL showing country of origin, then that is not a solution at all! That will drive more American family ranches out of business and you will eventually pay even higher prices for shity beef! I hope their solution only involves splitting up the big corporate packers and opening opportunities for family ranchers.🥩

Actually Doc, I use that term loosely here, we simply want to instill good work ethic into our kids. It’s often a lot less efficient and way more time consuming teaching youngsters the work of the ranch and farm. It takes years and painstaking hours and patience! We like how they turn out btw!

When the data centers and the solar and wind farms get enough farmland and guys like me and Jerod McDaniel aren’t here growing food we will have an unsustainable future. I’m warning you, it ain’t gonna be good!🪓

The cattle ain’t out there folks. No matter what the packers try to pull on feedlots and consumers. Herd didn’t grow. It probably shrunk tbh. It’s gonna take a long hard haul. I’ll say again there’s a lot that needs fixed but we need to make sure we keep independent ranchers profitable! Or we lose more cattle!🪓

Pay attention Consumers!! We’ve lost a lot of price on live cattle this month so you had better be seeing a drop in the stores!! If not you know damn well the corporate packers are playing us all yet again! I don’t see the cattle in the countryside so i guess we’ll see.

Hazy hay time. No it in fact doesn’t smell like any smoke I’ve ever smelled! Nevertheless, we rake the dried hay and it turns up the wetter hay underneath. Let that air out for an hour or 2 then bale up the cured hay. We call it cured but it’s basically just dried out so it won’t spoil in the bale. Enjoy the day my friends!🇺🇸

Highly concerning from a Ranchers standpoint! “Giving space for our American beef herd to grow”??? FYI- we can’t/won’t grow a herd if we are out of business because we can’t make profits! The continued drop in live cattle will continue to take out producers. If we lose our cattle to imports we lose our very freedom! “Where there are cattle there is freedom” S.L. LucieCattleCo.🪓

So let me get this straight. It’s ok for people to spend $8-$9 on a Starbucks or a bag of Doritos but $6.79 is “way too much”? Below is a calf that was going to die because the heifer couldn’t birth it. I got it pulled and saved it. She’s now in my herd and will be a mother herself. That job took hours and raising her to years! The mother passed. How much should a rancher make per year? Is there an unwritten code that people like jamie have who decide what the peasants should make as they produce their food? Serious question. We get about 40% of that $6.79 there. But what does it take to get that burger there? Who does that work? Should they not get paid because “jamie” wants it cheaper? We don’t set the price at Walmart btw!

FYI!!! “The death of the American beef industry”?? NO!! Absolutely NOT! Ivermectin treats screw worm for one thing. We’ve beat it before and we will again. These fear mongering people need to sit down! They forgot one thing. The American Rancher!! We check and care for our herds! Screw worm only get in an open wound or a new calf navel. They don’t just eat flesh without an injury. We will monitor, treat and move on! CALM DOWN!!!

Unfortunately tonight many of us cattle people feel like we’re about to go down with the ship Secretary. The fairly obvious pending situation with Argentina and beef imports is as deadly to the family Rancher as the Gail’s of November were to the Fitz. I wonder how many politicians shorted the cattle market rn?? Will be interesting to see the data on how much insiders make on this deal my friends!

Growing Men. It’s absolutely the most important crop that’s grown on this farm and many others. Today it’s my nephew and frankly he’s old hat to this. This country needs a hell of a lot more like him! Btw, he got a 35 on his ACT so don’t stereotype farm kids and think we’re dumb hicks! My own 3 kids were just like this and most farm kids I know are over the top intelligent and also capable outside of the classroom! Farm tough 🦾🇺🇸

Paid what i thought was to much for this farm 30yrs ago when we’d just gotten married. Struggled through and paid her all off a few years ago. My dad owns across the fence there. Now I’m rotating cows into a new part here today and thinking how it takes time! Time and effort and sacrifice and blood sweat and tears! But if you keep moving forward you get there. 🥩🇺🇸

Checking on the “ground beef herd” today! The messaging was weird. We raise live animals, live stock makes up the American cattle herd. Ground beef is but one of the finished products after almost 2 yrs of work and money tossed into making that product! They should call me up🥩

Breaking News‼️‼️‼️ There will be No ranches closing because of weather this weekend. Guys like Peanut , myself and all the others will get up and get out and do what needs doing. Chop ice, feed animals, struggle with equipment in sub zero temps. Basically whatever tf it takes to keep as many animals alive as possible at the expense of their own comfort. Please keep them all in mind when you put that $6 grnd beef in that hot pot of chili this weekend.🇺🇸

Let’s start a dialogue with Ranchers like myself Secretary Brooke Rollins and as most of us are saying look at ALL options. Country Of Origin Labeling is one of the easiest and simplest solutions for consumers and producers. My door is always open to have this conversation. TY for your attention to this matter 🥩🇺🇸

He’s right! Joel Salatin hits the nail on the head! I ask you- Are we truly free if a fellow Illinoisan can’t call me up and buy a package of ground beef that I raised, butchered, ground and froze? The government says it needs to intervene in that. I say we DO NOT!!🪓
