A carbon-carbon one-electron sigma bond has been reported by Takuya SHIMAJIRI and Yusuke ISHIGAKI in nature. The bonding, confirmed by Raman spectroscopy and DFT calculations, can be seen in CSD entry DUFKEY (cation shown below). 🔗 #FeaturedStructureFriday
