Okay this place genuinely blew my mind. I could just sit and admire the views all day long. Just an hour from the airport (with super easy connectivity from most major cities), and suddenly you’re in the middle of hundreds of acres of tea estates, with clouds literally floating around you and views that don’t even feel real. You wake up, step out, and it’s all lush green + mist everywhere. Go for long walks or treks through tea gardens, hit the spa, eat really solid food, and just slow down for a bit. If you’ve got kids, they’re sorted too, play areas, activities, the whole scene. They also have loads of paid activities like fully managed treks, tea factory visits, camping.. etc. Evenings are a vibe - live music every night, grab a drink, sit back, and just chill. Food is amazing, you have the option to choose from local himalayan cuisine, to Bengali favourites, north indian food or western cuisine. There’s also a temperature-controlled pool, and a gym (which honestly you won’t need because you’ll be walking a lot anyway). And the best part? You can actually book this using Epicure membership or Taj vouchers… which makes it feel like a steal for what you’re getting. Used both my EPM vouchers for stay and dining vouchers on meals, rest of spends paid via amex Taj vouchers ☺️ It's Taj Hotels Taj Chia Kutir Resort & Spa! PS: Found a "hack" to crack availability via free night voucher, if you don't find availability at a certain property for your dates, call and book the next level category room (you've to pay the diff of course which you can pay via vouchers on checkout). Online It just shows the base category rooms. 😉

This is what 22500 HDFC points or 11250 Group B Atlas EMs or 11250 HSBC points with a double bonus can get you! A Business class ticket to Vietnam in Dreamliner or A350! Also get access to priority immigration at Vietnam, which otherwise is very very slow. Also gives access to the premium lounges at the airport.

Converted all my ASV & APAY balances (collected via multiple cards at 15 - 18% miles/points) using ICICI / HDFC / Axis / Amex ✈️🔥 All shifted to Myntra Gift Vouchers - waiting for the next #BLINKDEAL 🤞 Now it’s back to the accumulation phase with multipliers 💪 Atlas at 10% miles + ASV at 18% via iShop were absolute bangers 😍 Hope everyone got the chance, it was active for more than an hour ! If you missed out on this, subscribe to my WhatsApp Channel & turn on notifications for next time 👇 🔗 Also, checkout the satisfying Myntra GV redemption automation video 😂👇 [16x speed]

Visited Courtyard by Marriott Aravali Resort over the weekend - and honestly, quite disappointed. The property itself has immense potential - beautifully designed with a great gym, spa, pool, and lots of recreation areas. It could easily be a Westin-level resort. They even have a huge cricket ground with flood lights, and a functional hydroponics farm that caters to inhouse restaurants. But sadly, the staff, housekeeping, and management make sure it stays firmly in the Courtyard category. Service is poor, maintenance is below par, and the overall experience just doesn’t live up to the space’s promise. I went with a medium level expectations, and was blown away by the looks of property at the rate at which it is offered (13k/night or 18K Marriott Bonvoy points / night), and it just went downhill from there. Positives : ✅ Big Pool for both Kids/Adults ✅ Elite status recognition : 1 Level Auto upgrade + Complimentary Breakfast for GOLD status. ✅ Complimentary Hi-Tea ✅ Well maintained greens and beautiful landscaping. Negatives : ❌ Service was slow and required reminder(s). ❌ In-room dining was slow and served cold food. ❌ Entire Beer stock was expiring in 4 days !! wtf ? ❌ Housekeeping service was very shabby. ❌ Lot of recreational activities were out of service They’ve got a gem of a property right next to Delhi-NCR, but it feels like they’re wasting a golden opportunity to create something truly special. ☹️ These are all fixable issues with better management. Hope they fix it soon. Marriott Hotels Marriott HotelsBonvoy Courtyard Hotels

Physical Gold → Equities Rebalancing Executed! Credit Cards → Gold → Cash → Mutual Funds Sold all my Vedhani Collection from P.N.Gadgil of 231.5 gms 995 gold to Kalyan Jewellers, who bought it at a 3% deduction from the day's rate. I accumulated this gold over several years, and my average purchase price was around ₹10,000/gm, while I sold it at approximately ₹15,000/gm. All gold was bought at discount from various platforms. (Capital gains tax applies based on the respective purchase dates.) On top of the appreciation, the credit card points valued about 15% conservatively on the buying price earned while buying the gold have funded my travels over the last many years and should comfortably fund another year(s) or so of travel. Post melting, the purity came to around 99.4%. (Kalyan may not buy back at just a 3% deduction if this happens, so it's advisable to carry some 999-purity gold along for melting when selling, helping keep the overall purity above 99.5%.) Interestingly, the final weight was marginally higher. The sale proceeds were credited to my bank account the next day after the 3% deduction. I then invested the proceeds into the UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund. I have already held this fund for more than five years, so this was simply a top-up. (It does have a slightly higher expense ratio than some other index funds but the tracking error is lower) Why a domestic index fund? For the last two-plus years, I've been allocating most of my investments to gold. While gold has delivered spectacular returns during this period, the Nifty 50 has generated almost no returns over the same timeframe. I felt this was a good opportunity to buy into equities at roughly two year old price levels and rebalance my portfolio. (PS: I already hold ~20% of my portfolio in an US index since several years) PS: Bought some of the gold back today already at a lower rate than I sold it at as there were some great deals. Follow me Akash for credit card strategies / optimization & Gold Deals 🪙 for amazing gold deals. ❤️|♻️ for good karma. 😊
