Marking 100 years since The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square’s first performance at the Hollywood Bowl in 1926, this historic return united music and humanitarian purpose in a celebratory concert benefitting women and children around the world. One hundred percent of ticket sales revenue from the concert will be donated to CARE, Helen Keller Intl, and The Hunger Project. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will match the revenue from concert ticket sales, thereby doubling the charitable contributions associated with the event. Visitors to Times Square were in for a surprise on Nov. 27 as its famous billboards became a larger-than-life tribute to the true reason for Christmas: Jesus Christ. The billboard takeover at Times Square in New York City was part of Light the World, an annual movement to bring people from all over the world together to share the light of Jesus Christ during the Christmas season. A new sculpture titled the “Five Wise Virgins” has been installed near the ongoing renovation of the Salt Lake Temple on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. “I think that this statue is a beautiful reflection of being disciples of Jesus Christ,” said Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently donated 40,000 pounds of food to both the Utah Food Bank in South Salt Lake City and Switchpoint in Tooele as part of the America250 initiative. A free public open house begins Monday, June 1, 2026, for the new Humanitarian Center operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The 250,000-square-foot facility is located at 1999 West 1700 South in Salt Lake City, Utah.
