Caleb Williams on his focus and mistakes from Today: “I felt like I was pretty on Today. We had one or two batted balls, and then I had the wrong incompletion on purpose just because the linebacker got up under it. It's a thing you can control. There are so many details within each play, and each play needs 100% of your focus. If you go 99%, or one of your teammates goes 99% while everybody else gives 100%, it comes down to everybody doing their 1/11th on the field. It's just getting back into the flow of playing a game, so we'll go look at the tape and figure it out." Mistakes happen, it’s about how you pivot.

Ben Johnson on managing Dexter Lawrence during the Joint Practice: "It was up and down throughout. I think he's a menace. He's an issue. That's been the case for a number of years, I remember being in a joint practice setting with him a couple years ago and he wrecks practice. That's what he does. I will say I was proud of the way that Garrett competed and he did some good things against him. When you face a player like that and you know you're going to a game, you certainly do need to make sure you limit the number of times anybody has a one-on-one with him because he's a special individual." Huge praise for Dexter Lawrence 🔥

Caleb Williams on going up against Dexter Lawrence Today: "He's an All-Pro guy, one of the best D-tackles up there with Chris Jones. He's a force to be reckoned with that you plan for during a game week to execute against his style, scheme, and body type. In joint practice, you aren't necessarily scheming players fully, you're going out there to execute plays without calling things that won't work against their defensive coordinator. That's something we'll do throughout the weeks and execute." Iron sharpens iron.

Ben Johnson on Joe Burrow and the Bengals' Wide Receiver room: "He's like a surgeon back there with great pocket awareness who can dissect defenses in a hurry, recognize coverages, distribute the ball, and trust his guys on the perimeter, they've probably got the best receiving duo in the business. This is a great test for where our defense is coverage-wise, but talking to J.T. Barrett, who was teammates with Joe at Ohio State, he speaks very highly of who Joe is as a person as well." Mutual respect 🔥

TJ Edwards on Kyler Gordon and his anticipation for his return: "I think Kyler's one of the best nickels in the game, I really do. When he's on the field, he changes the game. His ability to blitz, stop the run, cover when needed, and play the pass, he does it all. I know he's working his butt off and I talk to him every single day, man, and he's just itching to get out there. We'll be ready when he gets back, and we know who he is when he's on the field." We’re all waiting Kyler!🕷️🔥

Caleb Williams on supporting Coby Bryant through his injury: "I'm not the best with all of that because if anything ever happened to me, I don't know how I'd feel. I don't really want people coming up trying to feel sorry for me, so I've gone up to him, dapped him up, and just kind of been stoic about it, asking him how he's doing, but nothing too deep. We've texted back and forth a few times, just letting him know I'm going to be here, we're going to get this thing going, and when you come back, we'll be rolling just in time for you." Such a leader.

Zavion Thomas on Caleb Williams: “Caleb’s crazy. When we first got here on minicamp, he was scrambling this way and threw a 60-Yard Pass to Rome and looked at me and said “get used to it” and i’m like this is crazy. So just currently building that relationship with him and having that bond with him.” Crazy “Welcome to the League” moment 😂🔥

I will never forget watching Johnny Knox’s career ending injury live. The potential was insane.

Ben Johnson Caleb Williams’ recent surge in popularity: “I’m focused on coaching him. This is a guy that’s grown up in football. He’s a Heisman winner, 5-Star recruit, and he knows how to handle attention. You come to a big city like Chicago with fans that love their sports, it’s what he’s built for.” Preach.

Caleb Williams on Luther Burden: “I need Luther to be Luther. I believe in him 100% and that goes for him, Rome, Kalif, and Zavion. I need them to be them and be special and go make catches, even when I might mess up and don’t throw them a perfect ball, just light the score board up.” Can’t wait for this duo.

Rome Odunze on if he sees himself as WR1: “I obviously see myself as WR1, and I want the ball every single play, but I know the rest of the WR room sees it that way as well. It’s that duality of I got that dog in me and I want to go and make plays. I know everybody is going to get their share and it’s going to be exciting.” Best Teammate to have 🫡

Caleb Williams. Something about the way he moves and throws the ball, it reminds me of someone… 👀
