Climate alarmists refuse to let go of their narrative about Nepal despite the load of evidence against their claims. The avalanche (and by extension, flood) in Nepal last week was triggered by the collapse of bedrock beneath the Yala Glacier, not the glacier partially collapsing itself. Global warming doesn’t cause bedrock to buckle. It was likely geological in origin caused by seismic activity in recent years and months causing fractures in the rock. The Himalaya are highly active due to plate tectonics moving India into the Asian continent. And the “melting permafrost” argument doesn’t hold much water either because temperatures have generally been below freezing, even during summer, where the glacier sits ~17,000 feet (5,200 meters) up. You aren’t going to see a lot of days get above 0°C (32°F). Not every environmental disaster that happens needs to be blamed on humans. Nature itself is more than capable of causing these types of events. It’s time to get rid of the mentality that mankind is the cause of every bad thing that happens.

This is nothing new. In February 1932, the Winter Olympics were held in Lake Placid, New York. ⛷️ Temperatures topped 50°F on several days in January that year there, and the lack of snowfall preceding the Olympics nearly resulted in its cancellation altogether. The Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states observed high temperatures in the 70s and 80s on multiple days in January and February that year. 🌡️ Some winters are cold and snowy. Some are cold and dry. American voters overwhelmingly don’t care about climate change. In a recent Pew Research poll, they found that only 3% of Americans view it as their top issue for the midterm elections. Where does it rank overall? 14th place at the bottom. Biggest issues? The economy (54%) and immigration (28%). Only 39% of American voters say that climate change is a “big problem.” As CNN’s Henry Enten reports, that figure is about the same it was a decade ago (49%).

Governor Ron DeSantis shot down a news reporter today who tried to get him to blame Hurricane Milton on climate change. He didn’t evade it either — he directly answered the question and cited stats to debunk the claim. Oh, and those stats Governor DeSantis cited? They were directly from my analysis of NOAA HURDAT2 data this morning. Trump and Vance should take a page out of his book and sack reporters with data and leave them speechless.

lol This is a crock of crap. Climate “scientists” cannot get their climate models to produce accurate hindcasts of 20th century global mean surface temperature (GMST) observations without having precursory knowledge of 20th century observations to calibrate them to. That's curve fitting, not science. These models also run on circular reasoning. When global climate models (GCMs) are input with the supposedly “established physics” you mentioned, the energy fluxes in and out of the Earth’s atmosphere are not balanced, which causes the models to drift into unrealistic climate states (either too hot or too cold, but usually running too hot). Rather than doing real science to try figuring out why the best physics we have don't yield correct values, scientists simply assume that fluxes were balanced before the Industrial Revolution. They then adjust any uncertain parameters (e.g., clouds and aerosol) to force energy fluxes to balance. It is then assumed that there are no natural pathways that can cause energy imbalance, so modelers input CO₂ forcing, the climate system warms, and they say, “See!? CO₂ caused the warming.” While it may prove that there is at least some effects from CO₂, all else being equal, it in no way, shape or form proves that all of the observed warming is due to CO₂. They assumed it was at the outset, then forced their GCMs to produce that result. That's circular logic, not science. We also know model outputs are just statistical curve fitting because while the GMST response to a forcing has one value, the range of uncertainty in the aerosol contribution to GMST change since 1850 is 1°C. If you take the median of the CMIP6 models shown in Figure 3.8 from IPCC AR6 WG1, the uncertainty is a whopping 125%. If you don’t know that vital piece of information about aerosol forcing, you cannot have any confidence whatsoever in anything else. Arguing with me about this is not going to go well for you, I'm afraid.
