In school, we're often taught to fear failure. We're graded on our performance, and the pressure to succeed can be overwhelming. However, in the real world, failure is a necessary part of the learning process. We learn through trial and error, and we make mistakes along the way. Failure is simply a stepping stone on the path to success. Here are 5️⃣ ways you can embrace learning from short term setbacks Video Source: Tennessee Athletics Everything Is Orange Podcast

Pitchers are not only throwing harder than ever but they are better than ever at shaping & moving pitches Yet We design practice for hitters to hit the same comfortable speeds in the same comfortable spots I like to challenge our hitters to hit pitch shapes they will see in the game by using our computerized machine throwing fastballs (-6 degrees down), sliders (-10 degrees down), & curveballs (-16 degrees down) This does invite higher rates of failure in practice but carryover to the demands of the game 📈📈 "The war is won before the first battle is ever fought" - Sun Tzu

Do you want to improve your rotational speed as a hitter? Biomechanics assessments show the greatest correlation in torso speed to bat speed! Overspeed training is gaining a lot of momentum and its benefits can be HUGE for hitters Try these exercises before your next hitting session and UNLOCK YOUR SPEED at the plate - Lead Arm Stride Outs x 3 short stick - Pendulum Swings x 3 black/3 Gray - Turn & Burn x 3 Black/3 Gray - Coil In x 3 Black/ 3 Gray - Step Back x 3 Black/3 Gray - Knob to Kneew x 3 Black/ 3 Gray REMEMBER: The point of Overspeed training is to MOVE AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. Give yourself a break between exercises to be fully rested!

Want to improve your rotational speed as a hitting or thrower? Torso speed shows the highest correlation to both bat speed and throwing velocity in biomechanics testing Try these rotational strength exercises in your pre-hitting/throwing prep work Heavy Med Ball (10+ lb) - Med Ball Overhead Floor Slam x 3 ea. way - Med Ball Chest Wall Slam x 6 - Med Ball Overhead Wall Slam x 6 - Med Ball Split Stance Scoop x 3 each way Light Med Ball (4 lb w/ radar) - Turn & Burn Shot Put x 3 on dominant side only, log speed -Lead Arm Plyo Throw (675g or 1000g) x 3 on dominant side only, log speed - Lead Arm Iso Craine Scale Pull x 3 on dominant side only, log output

Want to improve your rotational speed? Torso speed shows the highest correlation to both bat speed and throwing velocity in biomechanics testing. Try these 3 rotational strength exercises in your pre-hitting/throwing prep work with the TRX® Rip Trainer - Torso Twists - 2 sets of 3 each side - Rip Throughs - 2 sets of 3 each side - Chops - 2 sets of 3 each side Combine these with some Iso holds and some overspeed work & really improve your potential to produce speed through the middle of your body
